troublemakers

I believe most of us are aware of an ongoing problem with a poster of many names here. I have noticed that wherever she posts, the thread becomes a series of short blasts back and forth with her. I would ask PLEASE that nobody responds in any way to her, it is the only way she will ever stop. Send personal messages to anyone who seems unaware, or is new, but DO NOT get into it with her! It is really gettng old and we have much better things to argue about! LOL Love, Debi

My PM box was full, it is clear now. Anyone who didn't receive a reply, I didn't get the message! (Sounds like I am talking to myself, LOL) Love, Debi

I agree. I haven't said anything to her since she was blue eyes. Oh wait, maybe it was when she was darla. *shrug*

Seriously....most of us old timers don't respond directly to her anymore. Maybe when we see a new member replying to her we should PM them and let them know that she's only here to start trouble.

Ok, to all paying attention, I think we are seeing the fastest turnaround yet. The "poster" from earlier today has already been replaced by a new one. Remember to watch for the style. "one liners" are very popular. Let's see if we can't take the fun out of this game for this person! Love, Debi

Thumbs up good job!

Hey, I also reported this same person, Sybill is what we like to call her, to AdoptionSolutions, and ABC has banned her posts altogether. They identify her by the computer ID #. Which they would do that on this board.

i was definitely one who was unaware and i do really appreciate you letting me know about her vindictive(spelling?) ways. As a direct recipient of her attacks, I'm really glad that she's now (hopefully) been taken care of.

This has happened before and i'm a little curious about it...i got an email that said CandyLisa (happened with friendshipbooks as well) replied to this post, but when i come to check it out, there's nothing after my last one..what's up with that? Does that mean a moderator deleted it or something??

either the poster or the moderator can delete posts. After someone has been reported, it may take awhile, but eventually they pull the posts and kick off the peson. Till she gets another name! If we all ignore her, it won't be fun of effective and she might find something else to do!

nutcake

How many shots does this individual get before someone goes to her house, knocks on her door and carts her off to the cracker farm? How does she manage to get so many new IDs? I can't even have an account on the same bulltin board as my husband because they ID us by our e-mail address and won't allow more than one sign-on per address. Geez.

Troublemakers

I am pretty new to the board but immediately noticed her by the one line sentences and the negativity. Good idea deb the more we ignore her and she's not getting any attention or irritating anyone she will eventually leave.

Thanks for bringing this to everyones attention. I too was a direct recipient of some attacks. I wonder if at times she works as part of a "tag team" with someone else who defends her negativity and bitterness which further inflames an issue. There are so many sincere people posting on this forum that are interested in sharing and learning from others in a similar place or from a different perspective in the adoption triad. As an adoptee, I have gained insight from the perspective of birthmothers. To have someone try to undermine all of us is unacceptable.

Often they can block people by their IP address. (Internet Provider address) ...but, sometimes the IP addresses change each time someone dials into the internet. I know with Earthlink, that is what happens. (I have Earthlink)

I have a website for bMoms, and through a little thing called "Site Meter" I can see who was on my site via browser and IP address. That way, if anyone causes any trouble, I can block their IP address, but like I said above, that isn't always fool proof.

And to the poster who said something about email addresses ...if is very easy to make up new email addresses at the free accounts like Yahoo and Hotmail ----> So who knows what this "person" is capable of. Yes, they need to go to the "cracker farm" ! lol

And here I thought it was elves that made them....

Well, learn something new every day.
