Question baby books

i'm new here so i'll intoduce myself before asking my question. my name is leann and my husband and i went thru 5 years of infertility treatments before moving to adoption last sept. we have completed our homestudy and are now searching for a birthmother. funny how 5 years can all be described in 3 sentences. not funny ha ha.
now for the question.
we have been thru alot (different than with IF as i'm sure many of you know) these last 3 months and i want to start our childs life/baby book now, so they know all that we did to get them. i cant seem to find any good adoption baby books. i am not a person who can spend alot of time at the computer so i dont really want anything i have to design and create myself. i would rather have a baby book that also has pages for birth parent info and pics. and some pages for the PB letter and some pics of us putting them together would be nice too.
is there anything like that out there????
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

thanks so much
Leann

scrapbook...

you could try a scrapbooking store. They have all kinds of themes for books. I'm sure they would have adoption, or could put something together for you to take home and work on.
It might be fun to create something no one else has!

Good Luck!

Hi;
I am also new and have not actually talked to anyone yet. But my husband and I also went through a very long process of treatments and are now finishing up with our Dossier and will b ready to adopt from Russia just as soon as they calls us. I just started my book on Dec 31st. I know that there are so many suggested ways to do it, but the way I look at it has to be something that works for me in order for me to do it. So I just bought a large leather bound Journal and I incorporate what we have gone through these last years with other thought about how I feel that day or what I want to show him/her once they arrive and really anything that comes into my heart. It may not be the conventioanl way of doing it, but above all it has to work for you and shoud convey anything you want to tell him/her. Good luck on your journey, I think it's going to be a great year!
Claudia

baby books

If you are looking for a traditional baby book, something with Disney characters etc. on it, you can go to a place like Hallmark and they have a sticker on them saying if they are suitable for adoptive situations.

Smile Baby Books

Let me start by saying that my name is Amanda and I am also new to this site. However, not new to the adoption game. I adopted my first daughter 14 years ago, and my second 11 years ago. After 5 years of fertility work resulting in the loss of 4 children. What a blessing God had in store for me when he gave me my girls. Both were adopted from the Philippines.

As far as baby books, like so many others i bought traditional baby books and did a lot of crossing out and writing in. As i have continued over the years to stay active with adoption issues sadly this one is still out there. There are some if you go to a google search, but even most of those i felt were generic. I have just started my own business making baby books, life books, and am working on an interactive documents book for children. Any of these books can be customized by country of origin, gender, religion, alternative family situations, and personalized with names and other detailed info. I try to put as much detail into them as possible. I also provide large envelopes within the books for those special keepsake items. I based my books on years of listening to what people wanted or thought was missing. Interviewing adoptees that are older including my own to find out as they were growing up what kinds of things did they want to know, but didn't know how to ask or thought if it wasn't already there, maybe they shouldn't ask. It is those of us who have stumbled along through the years that can make a difference to those upcoming even if it is in a little way such as a baby book.
