Hello everyone!
I think I've been on every site on adoption imaginable in the last month. I'm going on overload. Is it o.k. to be scared and sometimes unsure if we are doing the right thing? Or do you just "know" that adoption is right for you. I've always had the desire to adopt. We have a 4 1/2 year old bio. child, and now want to add to the family and considering adoption. I'm overwhelmed at all the paperwork!! I'm overwhelmed at all the children out there that need loving homes! Which agency to use? Is anyone familiar with Yunona and it's affiliate agency's? I just needed to reach out and verbalize (or write) some of my fears and thoughts. Thanks for listening and thanks to those that reply. Mommamia |

Welcome! I think all those things you are feeling are perfectly natural. At least I hope so because I've been going through them too ;-)
Good luck in your journey - this is a great place for support and learning! |

Hi Mamamia and welcome! I think it's very normal to feel scared. You're embarking on an emotional journey. Hang in there, though. It will all be worth while when the journey is over. JJ

Welcome!
Yep - this is an emotional journey for sure. There is a lot of paperwork, but like everything in life you just have to take it one step at a time. It's really not that bad. Actually, I found it somewhat helpful in provoking good discussions with my husband. I think we learned a lot about each other in the process. I have not heard of that agency. Check with local adoption support groups where you live. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Blessings, Deb |
