Well, after about 3 years of considering adoption, my husband & I are starting to seriously look into adopting an infant. I have gone online & found many sites, of course, but am very overwhelmed. I know a couple people that have adopted, but their situations were not average... Hi Debra, I'm sure others will come along with more information than me, but you need to check the laws according to the state you are adopting in. In my state (Texas) it is illegal for a lawyer to facilitate a match between birthmothers and adoptive parents. I'm sure you can probably research on the web, and find out the answer. Hope this helps.
