There are several pics of my mom a month before she had me and she didn't look pregnant. I also remember when I was younger that my parents said they were gonna adopt "another" child but the adoption place closed. These examples just skim the surface. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, as I said in the original message, I was told there is a code on the altered birth certificate that catagorizes the birth as an adoption. How can I find out what the code for Morristown, NJ ? Thank you ! Lesley

If you need to search please get as much info from your mother. Also ,remember in family adoptions (aunts adopting neices was also common) so this could even be a possibility. Please ask and keep us posted. Your situation is not uncommon. Not to be noisy but how old are you? Were you born before th"70's when adoption was still not talked about?

I just want to find out medical background and that sort of thing. The code for Morristown NJ would greatly help in my search. Thanks for all your help !!!

Trust me------dealing the the gov. offices in NJ is no picnic(as you may already know) and if anything they may not be so polite unless you have concrete info for THEM!!!Good old NJ for you.
