Adoption Resume/Letter to Birthmother

I'm wondering if I could get some advice on how to write this letter? Could you tell me a bit about your own if you've written one or what you liked or havent' liked about any you have read? About the only thing I'm sure of right now is NOT to write Dear Birthmom, and to include pictures but I'm not sure how many.... I'm not sure how to even start the introduction? Do I write it all as 'we' this and 'we' that....or do I write it using the first person and refer to my husband by name.... and sign it from both of us? Ugh....so confusing! But so important!!

I can't help from experience with the we vs. I thing, because I adopted as a single parent, but I think it would be weird if it was written from one, so I would probably do "we".

I broke mine down into sections. I did a general introduction, talking more about the emom and child and adoption in general. Then I did sections on who I am, my extended family, friends, travel (since that's an important part of my life) and a brief conclusion. I did one page for each section, with anywhere between two and four pictures on each page (except the first and last, which didn't have any), plus a couple other pages of just pictures - probably about 20 total.

Thumbs up A lot of great examples and coaching

You may want to look at the families waiting to adopt on parentfinder dot com. Each couple has a letter attached to their profile. We used this site and they provided access to online training when we put our profile out there. It was a HUGE help to us and we think worth a look.
Having said that Yes use "WE".

We started with "hi, we're L and L,"

Like others, we included info about who we are, what we like to do. Our pics were mostly of us doing things we like to do-not a lot of posed photos. We also talked about things we thought any expectant family might want for their child and how we'd provide that-for example, a good education, family nearby, etc. Good luck to you!
