Private/independent adoption and networking
We'd love to work with an agency (see post below), but because of budget limitations we're currently networking to find a birth mother and hoping to do a private adoption. Advertising in my state is illegal.
We created an adoption website and sent emails to everyone we know letting them know we want to adopt, and asking them to spread the word. Has anyone else adopted this way? Any tips? Also, does anyone know of attorneys who will show profiles for free or just a small fee? I've heard they exist, but most attorneys have been telling me they only show profiles of current clients. Feel free to PM me attorney names. Thanks!
