Hi All,
I am getting conflicting answers on this topic. We both are green card holders and not US citizens. We would like to adopt domestically in US. Is it possible for us to do this? Thanks. |

Yes, citizenship is not required to adopt an infant domestically through domestic infant adoption.
The laws and rules for adopting a waiting (typically older) child from the US Foster Care system, vary by state. Contact the state where you live to find out for sure. Only in cases where one of the married couple is a US Citzen can you adopt via International Adoption - Citizenship is required for that process. Good luck.
