Hi guys (& gals)!! I am new on here. DH and I decided last night that we are going to begin this journey down the adoption path! We have talked about adoption for 3yrs. We have one miracle that we were blessed with as a result of IVF. Since that we tried several more times, but were not sucessful. So, I have a few questions.

With us having a child already is that going to hender us from being able to go through pirvate adoption? We are planning on going through a church program? I guess that is considered private. IDK. So, much I got to learn.

Also, with this type of adoption how much do they look at finanaces to approve you? We can afford another child, but we do have several outgoing things, mainly cars, mortgage, and 2 debts from IVF and other fertility treatments. I know they obviously look at them for approval reasons, but also the fees with this program are on a sliding scale, so I know they have to see for that purpose too.
