Hi

My husband and I are starting up again at looking at adoption. I was heart-broken for awhile after my application was rejected for an international adoption due to my familial kidney condition. I was told the adopting country wanted "totally healthy" parents. So now we are looking at domestic adoption... I have a couple questions:
1. Has anyone ever heard of a chronic condition barring someone from domestic adoption?
2. Is the first step to do a home study on our own, then look for an agency or attorney?
3. What are the advantages/disadvantages in using an agency vs. an attorney?
4. We live in Orlando right now... does anyone have any recommendations for agencies or attorneys in the area, or even recommendations to stay away from? Could you please PM me with any rec's?
I really appreciate your time in advance! Have a blessed day!!
