Dear birthmom/parent profile
we have 5 months before we plan on starting the adoption process for a domestic infant. I am very excited and want to start on my profile. I am wondering what people have done? Scrap book style? Digital? Photo book? 3-ring folder? Spiral bound? How many pages? Anyone have any online resources?

We used Shutterfly, and we love how it came out!

For our first, we were on the list for two agencies. For one agency we did a scrapbook, and then made several spiral bound copies for the other because that was what they requested.
This time, for our second, we made the spiral bound copies again and I have the scrapbook at home since we are only on one list (with one of the same agencies we used before). It may depend on the agency you are using. |

I would check with your agency before spending a lot to put it together. A few different agencies I used wanted different things. The best one we did was Shutterfly. It came out great. We put our letter inside an envelope that we glued inside the back cover (picked paper and envelope that matched the cover of the bound album).

We used artscow.com for our photobook, we needed 6 books for our agency and the affiliated agencies they work within other states.... artscow had a special coupon code that we were able to take advantage of for 6 free 8x8 books. They came out wonderful! We only had to pay for shipping and extra pages that we added to the book. Shipping was a little more expensive for us because we needed them quickly but even with the rush shipping we still saved about $100 vs. another company.![]() |
