Domestic Hispanic Adoption
My husband and I are looking to find an agency that has a domestic Hispanic infant program. Does anyone know of one? Please PM me or email me at marion@htc.net. Thanks.

Looking in Southern Texas or in Florida you will definitely find agencies that meet the Hispanic criteria you are looking for.
All three of my children we adopted at birth and all three are full-Hispanic. Because it is a minority we didn't have too wait long to be selected (one we were matched in 3 weeks!). I'll pm you the name of the Texas agency I used. But there are lots of possibilities out there for you. Good luck!

From what I've just been reading in ‘Adoption: The Essential Guide to Adopting Quickly and Safely‘ by Randall Hicks, the best way to go about it is to find an area that's predominantly the race you want to adopt, & then find agencies or attorneys in that area. So, you might want to have a look for agencies in Texas & New Mexico, or some areas of SoCal. When you make contact with them, ask them what percentage of the birthmoms who contact them are Hispanic.
Here's a list of agencies by state, and the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys has a searchable map.

Plan a) give birth to one or two, adopt one or two. Well, the first part of that didn't work, so now we're waiting on the second. 4 Aug 09 - handed in our first forms to the agency 5 Sep 09 - 1st meeting with SW 25 Sep 09 - home visit with SW |

Can you also PM the agency you used in Texas. Live in So Cal, but in the process of choosing one good agency that successfully placed full Hispanic baby. Thanks |
