Hello - my husband and I are looking to adopt a toddler aged child in Indiana. I am aware of the foster care system. I would really appreciate any PM's recommending agencies in Indiana, preferably in the central Indiana area. We are so lost.
Our jaws dropped to the floor when, while doing our research, we realized the costs of adoption. We are probably considered a middle income, normal family. How in the world does the "regular joe" adopt? We understand that our costs may be lower b/c we aren't looking for a newborn. We also do realize that this lifetime commitment will require a tremendous amount of money - its just the up front costs that floored us. Any reassurance? ![]() Again, PM's suggesting agencies and telling us your experiences w/ them would be so helpful. Thanks so much! Kristin |

Kristin - Where abouts in central Indiana? I am in Tippecanoe County. Honestly, here I would go through the Department of children and family services. We looked at them and a couple of the other foster care agencies in Tippecanoe County. I personally didn't like the other agencies. You can do Foster to Adopt for a little or no cost.
We are going through an adoption agency in Indy that it is 10,000 to 20,000 to adopt a new born. Feel free to PM me and I can send you my email address |
