Agency v. Attorney adoption

We have just made the decision to pursue a domestic adoption and were looking to hear people's thoughts on using an agency v. going through an attorney. I'm looking at both options, but would like to hear from those who've been through it.

While I'm at it I'm in NJ and would love to hear recommendations or any horror stories. Feel free to send this PM.
