Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking on this forum for a couple of weeks and just got the courage up to start posting today.

Recently, my husband and I have come to the decision that, due to my diabetes, it would be irresponsible to continue to try and concieve. In this decision we have also decided that we would like to try and adopt. The only things that we haven't totally decided on yet is whether to go domestic or international and which agency to work with.

What I would like is people's opinions on domestic vs. international and open vs. closed adoptions. We know that we would prefer an infant or as close to an infant as possible (up to about a year old).

Also, could people PM me if they have any specific experience with the Adoption Network Law Center or PACT out of Oakland. Those are two agencies we have looked at online for domestic adoption.
