Hi everyone,
I have a homestudy for when I adopted my son internationally. I am looking into starting up the process again, but this time for a domestic adoption. Do I need to completely re-do a homestudy or is this something that can just be updated? And while we are at it, are there any other documents that can just be updated instead of starting from scratch again? We completed our adoption in August 2007 and our old documents/fingerprints are from late 2006. I'm in Ohio if that makes a difference. Thanks for your help!

Call Your SW
I would call/email the SW you worked with on your international homestudy and ask. The requirements are different in every state, and it depends on the agency you will work with, too. Some of the paperwork might be able to be updated - especially if you have the same home and job(s). You may need to complete some different training or readings.
best of luck! |
