We are pretty new to this process. We can not do international adoption because my husbands business does not allow him to travel for an extended period of time. And Korea only lets you adopt until 43, and my husband is 44. And although I am only 37, they want the parents to be 43 or younger.
This being said, we are really interested in adopting a baby girl. We already have one biological daughter who will be turning 3 next month. We are hoping to adopt a baby girl because I just feel the bond might be closer (I have 2 sister and no brothers). Can anyone please PM me with any reputable agencies. I do have one, but I am a bit skeptical as their prices are very very high and I do not want to use an unethical agency. Thank you sincerely for those who can help me. I hope I am not offending anyone by asking for an agency that lets you choose gender preference. Thanks sincerely and may God bless all of you on your adoption journey. ![]() |

Are you wanting to adopt an AA or multi-racial baby...or strictly a CC baby? I ask, because much of the time, agencies who will allow you to choose, are those that will allow you to adopt babies who are already born.
I can understand your wanting to choose gender. We did this ourselves in one of our adoptions. However, we noted that if we were 'matched' with a situation, we'd never back out of it, should the ultrasound be incorrect and the baby was a different gender than we'd planned. ( I've read of a situation where the adoptive couple did just that (backed out)---and to me, that's inexcusable.) But, keep in mind that if you're going to go the 'match route'.....ultrasounds are only something like 80% correct (someone correct me if I'm wrong here)......so choosing gender this way, isn't real reliable, KWIM? If you are hoping to adopt an AA or multi-racial baby, pm me and I'll be glad to send you my own personal list. Sincerely, Linny |

We are looking to adopt a Caucasion girl. Thank you for your time Linny.
We do have a list of (2) agencies, but I wanted a few to review before making a decision. Linny, also I can totally understand and I would not leave the mother out in the cold...I can only imagine how difficult this journey is for a birth mother. |
