Hi Everyone,

I am new to the site, wanted to introduce myself, say how useful the postings I have been reading are and ask a question. I am just starting the adoption process and am looking at international adoptions from Russia. I was glad to see that there are other single women out there also wanting to adopt, it made me feel better and that I an not the only one making this decision. I have started requesting information from agencies that deal with international adoptions, I did not realize how many agencies there where. I would like to ask that if anyone has had positive experieces with any agencies that deal with Russia please PM me with information and advice, if possible.

Any information and suggestions are greatly appreciated. All of the information I am gathering is overwhelming making nervous.

Because Russia is going through some changes right now, be SURE to go only with an agency that has received accreditation by the Russian government.

For additional information, go to the adoption.com International Adoption boards and then to the Russia board. Also consider using the FRUA boards (Family for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption). In addition, check the website of the U.S. State Department. It has a section on adoption from Russia.
