I'd love to hear from anyone who has advice for speeding up the adoption process in AL. I've completed all of my training classes, and turned in all of my paperwork. My social worker has been assigned and has visited my home and approved my home. She still needs to write my foster care homestudy and get it approved by her supervisor. Apparently, only after all of that has been done, can the adoption homestudy be completed. And apprently, here in Madison County where I live, there is only one person who does adoption homestudies and she only works part time. I'm really getting frustrated
by the seemly lack of urgency from our DHR office. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had success in Alabama, particularly, Madison County. |
