Please help advise need!!
I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with. I have a friend who would like to adopt twins. The children are living with a relative in Louisiana because of neglect on the birth mother’s part. The relative is unable to care for these children. My friend is going through a divorce and it will be 60 days or so before it is finalized. Can he still adopt these children? If he can’t adopt at this point, will he be able to get temporary custody of the twins until after the divorce? Thank you for any help you can give us.

Has your friend done a home study and got a lawyer?

No
No he doesn't have a home study or a lawyer. We just found out a couple of days ago about the children.
