Smile Anyone starting the process around June '06?

My husband and I are going to start the homestudy in June. We just bought a house, so we will be moving into it by the end of May at the latest. After that, we just need to get settled in a little bit and then we'll be ready! We are going through WACAP. Anyone else looking at a time frame around there?

June or a little after. I'll be buying my house also. However, I'm adopting my 2 foster sons: one by mid-June. Not sure about the other one.

June Starting

we will be starting the process the end of June or so. We have been waiting to start until we get moved so it would be pointless to start here. The new state we are moving too I have no clue about how or where to start so it will be a challenge but Im sure that we can handle it.

Yeah, I'm just getting my papers together for our second. I have another letter to send off today, and then all we have to wait for is the homestudy update.

So, I'm around the same time as you

Watermelon,

I'm looking to really begin the paperchase around June 06. I'm going with IAAP to adopt an infant girl from Vietnam.

Where are you adopting from?

Yash

Just turned in initial paperwork

We just turned in the initial paperwork and are hoping to do the homestudy ASAP, not sure on timeframes, yet. I've been trying to read through all of the entries here to get an idea. We are going through Gladney and are so excited to get everything started. Can't wait to be in the "waiting" phase when we can see the end in sight for our little miracle. Right now, we're just going with the flow!

Smile Can't wait :O)

Our homestudy is scheduled for this Saturday, May 27th. As far as I can tell we are as prepared as we can be (not to mention a little nervous.) This is our first adoption and have been very fortunate so far with getting things done quickly. We received our packet in the mail the first week of May, and by the end of the month we will have everything done and waiting to be matched except for our investigation and finger prints. Those are already done, but we've been told it can take a few weeks before they're completed.
We've been told that we can expect a wait of 4 weeks to 3 months before we get our baby. I sure hope this is true, after 5 years of unexplained secondary infertility we are so anxious to have a little sister for our son.
We wish you all the very best and speedy process!

Sandy, My husband and I are just starting. We want to adopt from Guatemala. We just sent in our adoption application to Guatemala last Wednesday (May 24th). So exciting, so nerve wracking!

Well- I have a crazy story about starting! We have a 3 year old daughter who we adopted at birth (domestic). I placed our first ad on Thursday, May 4th for #2- well on Saturday, May 6th- at 7:30AM I received a phone call- I have been matched with- not a baby- but a KIDNEY! Yes- I had a transplant on May 7th! Talk about timing! I'm doing great and in a few weeks- we'll start placing ads again! I have to call our case worker today to update our homestudy.
