Pre-Adopt Questions
My dh and I have foster parented a child for 3 1/2 months. The gaurdian in litem asked for my husband and I to take this child into our home while we waited for the TPR appeal to be determined. Now we are supposed to go Monday to sign pre-adoption papers. Does anyone know what this entails and approximately how long after this can you sign adoption papers? The child is 10 and knows every step that we have taken. I fell in love with this child the first time I met her and she ( or I ) can not wait until the adoption is final.

I would think that the timing and laws vary by county/state/agency. I would ask these questions outright of the lawyer. Best of luck!
