Adoption Celebration help needed!
We are scheduled to adopt our fd (1yr old) next month. We are going to have a celebration/party and I am stuck on what to write on the invitations. I would like to make them myself....Not of our flesh, nor our bone, yet truly our own....I love it!!! HOWEVER....what else? I was thinking about maybe poetry?....What do you think? Has anyone every made one before? I'm an avid scrapbooker and am ready to start, but I don't know what to say. ALSO....could you please share your adoption celbrations with me and give me a few cute ideas? Thanks

We had a celebration party on the 15th day after the birth of our daughter, this was the waiting period for us. Even though we brought her home from the hospital we didn't have visitors until this date just incase things didn't work our, my inlaws didn't even see her. My friend who owns a bakery made a beautiful cake with live pink rose buds and we invited 25 of our closest friends and our family. We got many gifts, it ended up much like a baby shower! This is the date we sent out our birth announcements also. We didn't send invitations to the celebration party, just called everyone. Good luck and have fun!
