My husband and I have been emailing with a birthmother several times a day for the past few weeks. We seem to have formed a good connection with her and told her that we definately want to move forward with her if she would like to. She is due in about 2 weeks and over the past couple of days her emails have dropped off to one a day, if that. We were getting the feeling that she was no longer moving forward with us, however she emailed us last night asking to learn more about our agency. After we replied we have not heard from her again. My question is do we keep waiting to see if she write back or should we send her another email? I don't want her to get the impression that we are not interested and do not care about her if we don't write, but I don't want to overwhelm her with emails either. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Wait. The key here will be to see if she does anything beyond e-mailing - like contacting your attorney or agency. People who are seriously considering placing with you will take these steps. Those who are less sure (or not legitmate) will not, and will likely disappear.
