Our family is going to be going to 4-way on Sept.27. Our case worker told as that we are the only family being considered for this child. It would be a "legal risk" placement. We are working with a private agency in the state of Texas. Has anyone ever been the only family going to 4-way? And if so, were you chosen? We are wondering if they will have to postpone the 4-way until they have more interested families to choose from. Any input on this kind of situation would be great.
Thanks, Missyfan |

Our agency calls it a "4-way". It is when they(CPS) select up to five interested families that they are considering placing a child with for adoption, then the child's case worker, family's social worker, and CPS worker decide which one of the families is the best match for meeting the child's needs. Our case has to go to a "4-way" in order to get "chosen" to be the child's adoptive placement. I hope that makes sense!
