Hi, can anyone suggest any websites where "birthmoms" are featured? Most of the sites we have seen all focus on the adoptive parents, however, only 1 site, we have seen has profiles of Birthmoms?

Banned but she had a point here... "Birthmoms" arent birthmoms until after they place.

If you are looking for profiles of pregnant women... Im not sure you will find anything like that... it just doesnt work that way.

If you are wanting to get to know what birthmoms are like, etc, then there ARE support sights post placement where birthmoms tell their stories and support each other.... You can also learn a lot by looking around the board.

Ill repeat, though, I dont think there is anywhere that you can go and choose an expectant parent to match with... at all..

I know of a couple of web sites where expectant mothers interested in adoption can post a message looking for potential adoptive parents. I don't think this is a good way to find a match, though. The women who post receive several hundred e-mails in the first couple of days. Many request that their e-mail addresses be removed because they have received such an overwhelming response. I would suspect that most do not end up picking adoptive parents that way. I will PM you the sites, but I think your best bet is to network as much as you can to find a potential birth mom. There are many wonderful networking ideas on these forums to help you spread the word that you are looking to adopt.
