How possible is it for a Canadian to adopt from the US?
Hi there.
We have an opportunity to adopt a baby from the US but the potential bmom may want to move to another state. I know that each state would have different laws, just as Canadian provinces do. But how feasible/difficult would it be to get this baby? Are we talking mega bucks because it would be international adoption? Just wondering if we should pursue this or forget about it? The potential bmom sounds wonderful but money could be an issue. Thanks for your help!

Lots and LOTS of babies come from the USA to Canada.
 Contact an agency in your home province, and they will explain the process to you. It shouldnt be that much more expensive (unless you involve an expensive american agency) than a domestic Canadian adoption. You do need to immigration visa etc and that takes time. Jen
