Smile getting the $$ to adopt!

Well, I certainly didn't expect the adoption process to be so expensive. After a few days of trying to figure out how to fund this, I came up with an idea for a business and my sister has decided to join me as an "investment partner!" I'm so excited. All the money that we hopefully make, will go into the adoption fund.
If this works out, I will be ready to adopt in a few years just like I want to!!!
I'm also excited to say that this Saturday I'm attending my first information session on adoption. The info. session will be provided by "The Cradle" in Evanston IL.
Wish me luck!!!

Here's a hearty good luck to you. You're well on your way to extending your family (and your heart) through adoption. I'm sure before you know it, you will be adding dollars intot he fund like crazy only to look up and realize that it's time to go get your child!

Good luck again! I am wishing you lots of busy days to fill the monotony of waiting!

hi,

good luck with your new business!

one thing that we did was to start a "kid fund", in which we placed all raises, bonuses, giftchecks, etc. we also did a paycheck deduction, starting with just $10/week. Most of us can find $10 a week to save, even if it means skipping coffee two days a week, or in my case, jamba juice. it eventually grew in size, and we were able to adopt. If you think about it, your kid will use way more than this a week, so it's a great way to get financially kid-savvy.

how was the info session at the Cradle?
