About Home Studies
Hi to everyone,
My wife had cancer, she is now doing fine. It was a very rare but very curable one (Trophoblastic disase, to be exact), and it has no chance to come back. Do you know if it will affect our elligibility for international adoption? Thanks!!! |

Hi & congrats on the clean bill of health for your wife -- wonderful news! When my husband and I did our homestudy for international adoption, the health questions were very basic. If the doctor doing the exam can state that she should be able to care for a child into adulthood, then I can see no reason why it would hold you back.
Good luck!!!!

Hi there My husband and I just finished our homestudy and I am also a recovered cancer patient for 6 years. It was not a issue because all they look at is that you can raise a child with the health issues you have.
