Thumbs down private adoption vs. huge agency?

What are the major differences between private adoptions and using an agency?

Hello!

A private adoption is facilitated by an adoption lawyer where an agency adoption can be facilitated by a social worker. A private adoption can be more expensive depending on the lawyer, situation for the birthmother (medical, what state she is from, ect.) where an agency adoption can be easily feasible if adopting from the foster care system. Depending on what type of adoption you are interested in will probably determine if you go through an agency or lawyer. (birthmother, foster care, or international.) Agencies come in all sizes, so if you are looking for a smaller agency, you will just need to do some research. Whether you are adopting domestically or internationally, a beautiful child can enter your home. There are reputable adoption lawyers and agencies in every location imaginable, you just need to do the research.

Hope this helps some,
Blessings,

Smile agency adoption

Hi, I am with an agency here in No Cal and I have had a great experience with them so far. They have many offices across the country. They handle open adoptions only. I have had nothing but support from them. Being so large, they have many resources for adoptive parents and birth families. The only downside I see, if you can call it that, is that there are a large number of famlies signed up with them and waiting. The positive side of that is, there is a lot of us families that keep each other going with support and advice. Good luck to you Rene.

I am an adopted mom of a 2 1/2 year old son. He was born in Louisiana. We used an agency that was national and had an office in New Orleans. If you have any questions about the agency we used or adoption you can private message me or email me and I can try to answer any questions.

We have an open adoption and I thank God everyday for my sons birthmom. She is never forgotten and always in our prayers and heart. My son knows he has two moms even though he doesnt quite understand the whole process, but he will someday.

Well I have to get my little one back to bed.

Good luck in your decision...
