Well...
My Mom did
. She adopted me, even with crossed eyes and leg braces. And I turned out OK! Of course, that would be a matter of opinion I guess. ![]() |

I am considering it. As a single woman in NSW Australia, I have found out that my only chance to adopt may be for a special-needs child.

Thanks.
Actually I meant, has anyone with medical issues adopted a child? |

Yes - my husband and I adopted our daughter three years ago and are now working on our second adoption and I have medical issues. None are life threatening but still had to disclose them.

I'm an asthmatic. It's very mild, and I've never been hospitalised, but I'm just waiting for the part of the adoption process where somebody tells me that it's going to get in the way of adopting... Becuase it's stopped me from joining the airforce and the army reserve, and a whole lot of other things I wanted to do, despite the fact that it is COMPLETELY under control!
Grr! |
