Question Anyone in CT?

I am looking for others in CT and some information on adoption agencies. We have adopted once, a special needs child but are now looking into domestic or international.

Anyone out there want to talk?

Jill

Hi Jill,
We are brand new to this forum and adoption. We live in CT and are in the process of chosing an international agency to help us and are feeling overwhelmed and confused. We have several agencies in mind but are still unsure of who to put our hopes and faith into. Maybe we can help each other, we're interested in a Russian or Geogian infant, how about you?

HI mmdiamond !!

I don't know how much help I can be. We decided to do a special needs state adoption again. This time we just plan to be very picky but the process is sooo easy and we had most of it already done from our 1st adoption so we just took the easy way out I guess.

I have talked in depth to some CT people who have done adoptions. Two have done international and two have done domestic.

My boss at work is now adopting a little girl from Russia. One of the other people I met who did domestic used them too. The other one used this agency in West Hartford, but I forget the name, but I could find out. The did a Guatemala adoption.

Let me know if you would like more info and keep in touch. I owuld love to try and help you and I have more info too if you would like but just not to much on international.

Thanks for the info Jill, greatly appreciated. FCA is an agency that we are concidering, a friend used them for their home study and couldn't say eough good things about their services. I wish I could help you out but we are so new to this. I'm in the finding out about everything stage and boy can it be overwhelming, which I am sure I don't have to tell you. Anything I can do please let me know. I'm a good listener if you ever need to vent or just want to talk!
