Lightbulb Hello all I'm a new Hopeful!

Hello all My name is Gidgit, I am 26 and DH and I are in the process of adopting through Foster Care.

We have just today heard from our SW and she wants to have our home study done by the Aug 24th. ! I am so excited!

We have gaurdianship of a lovely 16 year old Elise and she is a joy. She wants us to be her parents but unfortunatly she is not legally free.

We really are looking forward to becoming parents after TTC for more than 6 years. I Have PCOS and Cannot get pregnant.
We are looking for other parents and soon to be parents to learn with and from!

May God Bless you all in your search for the family of your dreams!

Gidgit

Hi

Hi there,

Good luck with your journey and I hope all works out well for you!
My name is Stephanie and I am 27, and we are in process of adopting as well. We are waiting to be matched stage sort of. We were matched, unmatched, and now possibly re-matched with the same bmom as before. I truly understand now what the sw says when she told us that no 2 adoptions are the same and that there is no "normal" procedure. It's been such a roller coaster and we started this entire process in May.

This forum is such a great place to gain information and support!!

Welcome to the board!

We start our homestudy process August 20th and we are also very excited.

Another way we are alike, I also have PCOS. That is not the reason I cannot get PG though. I also am 34 and on the onset of menopause.

Best of luck, and again welcome, I am new and have learned so much. Everyone is very helpful and supportive!

Kim

Cool Warm Welcomes!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

I am really glad to find other women in my shoes. Kim, I too have started the early stages of menopause, and at 26 that has been alot to deal with.

I have found lots of comfort in our church as well though. We have several Forever families in our church. Our Agency is in the process of getting us invovled in a support group.

I think I will find this forum very helpful and hope to form some longterm frienships!

Stephanie, Thanks for your warm welcome as well. I pray that this time things will go smoothly for you and your DH.

I just recently got my DH to experss his true feelings about the whole process and I guess I was qiute shocked. He is just as excited and hopeful as I am .

Please feel free to go to my little webpage and lear more about DH and myself.

May God continue to bless you!

Gidgit
