Advice needed concerning relative adoption
My husband and I are possibly looking to adopt my great nephew. I was reading on the web about relative adoptions and I found out because this is my great nephew (Neice's son) that this is not considered a relative adoption. Has anyone heard of this before? Thank you for any advice

We are adopting my husband's great niece and nephew. It is consider relative adoption where we are at. We had them in Kinship Foster care for 2 years. I am not sure why yours is not considered relative adoption.
