We adopted a sibling group of 4 four yrs ago. We found them on our State's website (PA). The funny part was that we started out as wanting sibling group of 2. Then we saw a listing of 3 adorable kids (2 girls & a boy). When our agency sent us their profiles I found a 4th name listed. Here there was a 4 yr old that had not been listed because she was not legally free to be adopted at that time. When I went back and looked at the photo you could see where there was someone "whited out" of the photo and all that was showing was her feet! Needless to say, we new God had this planned for us and although it was a BIG adjustment, we are very happy and bonded with our kids. (We had already raised 4). Their ages at time of adoption were 5,7,9,11. Three girls and oldest a boy. (all AA--we are caucasion)

Red face Waiting here also

We are in Wisconsin and we are all the way approved and have submitted a couple applications. I would love a large sibling group like 5 or 6 but our agency refuses to Ok us for that becaus we have 3 already. I am counting on doing about 2 or 3 groups over 10 years of 3 or so. I stay home and we have a new 6000 square foot 8 bedroom home just waiting to be filled. I have found that Texas has a VERY large amount of children available and is fairly easy I'm told to adopt from out of state. Also to the poster that couldn't find her states site I have a link for the national site that lists every states link and Arizona is definetely there. PM me if you would like the link.

wouldn't suprise me. could you do me a favor and see how many children are listed? not if it's a crazy number, but the one i always find lists i believe it's 41 for arizona. i've tried that page over and over, and it's just blank. so are a few others, now that i got suspicious. i had always just though that az hadnt listed any children there. i keep trying to get ahold of my worker, but she is never in the office, and i just wish i could have a more active role in this process. choosing my child is about active as you can get, but i just cant seem to find anymore than are on that one site.

I tried the link and there are 47 listings. I had no problem so it must be your computer!

Sorry! I'm wrong! I was at the Adoption.com site. When I try to go into the Arizona Photlistings, it comes up with a blank screen and a message that says "not found on server". So it isn't your computer!

lol ok i was trying to figure out why in the world it wouldnt work! actualy, we have decided that we will inquire about two sisters, older than what we had thought we wanted, but they seem 'special' and they just seem to pull at something inside of me. wish us luck, and thanks for looking at that for me.

Since we only have 3 bedrooms (my husband & I in one, our daughter in the other), if we did get a sibling set, it would probably have to be the same sex as they would end up sharing bunkbeds in our 3rd bedroom - would that be looked down upon? I would probably want 2 boys as I wouldn't want 2 girls to see my daughter having her own room, and them sharing one, and be upset.

why not get any gender, and if you get two boys, they share, a boy and girl, the girl shares with your daugher, and if it's two girls, the younger two share?
some agencies seem to think sharing's ok, others i've seen say no.

Adopting siblings?? Many think we are crazy to adopt 4 children. We have a 3yr old fs, been with us for two years now, that we hope to adopt soon. We started this summer to look for a sibling for him. We wanted a little girl. We got a call for two babies. We said yes, but in three months they left our home and went with relatives. Within a week we got a call of two sisters. A 5 yr old and a 2 yr old. They were seperate in foster homes. We have had the 5yr old with us for two months now. We probably be getting the 2yr old this week. And now there is the baby sis of the girls. We might be getting her too the end of this week. So we went from wanting to adopt one to three. Our family will be a family of 6 by the end of this month. There is another older sister, but she is going with her father.

On sharing room. I have been a foster mom for 4 years and there is not a problem with sharing rooms. Unless there is a danger to younger child. We only have three bedrooms. We plan to move out of the master suite and give to the three girls. We plan to move to the smaller room, its still large, but its better for the girls to have a bigger room.

8isenough-it funny you got 3 girls and one boy like we will get. I noticed that four of your children start with names with Js and Im guessing they are your adopted children. All my kidos names start with J's.
