My, you all have me wondering what James has in store for me now!!!! But here's my big news.....Our attorney just called and the adoption is final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so hoping that not only would we be finalized before the end of the year for taxes, but that we would know it was finalized before Christmas!!! Last Christmas was so chaotic getting everything in order, so this is such a blessing. Well, we are getting ready to take off tomorow so I don't know if I will have time to pop back on before we leave or not, so Merry Christmas to all you! I will have a lot to catch up on when I return!

Well, we finally heard back from our agency!! We can start again now. I am so excited!! So, it looks like we will start all over again probably the end of Jan or beg of Feb. Hopefully the boy I am interested in is still available once our homestudy is updated. Here I go getting all weepy again! LOL. Hard to believe this time around can be as exciting and terrifying as the first time. I'm such a dork.

Anyway, I'm finishing up preparations for our trip. We are leaving at 4:30 am tomorrow and I won't be back until evening on Jan 5. Luckily I can check in with you all every once in a while when I am in CA, so I shouldn't be too far behind when I get back.

McKenna, I got your card last night. Your kids really are adorable...and I had to look long and hard to see the spaghetti stain around lily's mouth.

So, I had told my hubby about Sean being born...then all of a sudden he started asking all these questions about newborn adoptions. I was a bit frightened, but I answered them. I really don't want another baby unless it is a bio sibling of the two kids we already have. I'm more of a toddler+ person. lol.

There is a hearing about my son today. Hopefully we hear something soon about whether or not the judge ok'd starting TPR. What a great christmas present that would be!! I'm not even sure what time the hearing is tho. David's CASA worker is trying to get his TPR fast tracked so it could be done by his first bday if they start today. I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up tho.

Ok...let's see. what else. Oh! Kid's rooms. Well, my 2 are in one room for the time being, so I only had to decorate one. The wall is painted blue with white clouds (becoming very common these days) and I have the glow in the dark stars ALL OVER the ceiling making the actual constellations. Then there are glow in the dark planets hanging from the ceiling (they look like they are floating when it is dark) proper distances from the sun (the light fixture which is painted to look like the sun). The stars are also down the walls, thinning out as they go. and I have a blue moon night light. I made sure to only get short furniture so my kids never have a reason to climb up drawers or anything else, and I painted it blue and white to match the walls. I guess that's about it. oh wait!! I also have begun hanging airplanes etc. on the walls...you know, things flying in the sky.

Ok...well, I guess that's all for now. I will try to remember to update if we hear anything about David's case today.

That's awesome Michelle, Congratulations!!!

Mckenna, about the foster and adoption thing. When you are mathced with a child then you go through the steps of meeting with their social worker and what not and then you start meeting with the child and then you take them home, the paperwork is started as soon as you take the child home and is finalized as soon as they can get to it but it's not called fostering in the interm. I'm not sure of the correct term. If I wanted to foster to adopt then when a child is removed from his/her home and they are 99% sure that he/she is not going back then they place him/her in a fost to adopt home. They find one that matches the childs description and the parents take him/her hoping he/she doesn't have to go back and they can evetually adopt him/her. In that case then you are their Foster parents for the first while. So that's it, that's our system. Now, I'm no expert but I think I got everything right.

Oh Darci, we posted at the same time! Congratualtions on the new start, you sound excited! Have a good trip and I hope you check in every once in a while.

Hey-

We are just getting computers today at work. Now I can maybe check in once and while when I am not busy.

Things are really quiet today. We have my work's Christmas party tonight and then we have a whole bunch of things going on tomorrow. It will be really weird because Tim will have weekends off now and he hardly ever did before!

Can't stay too long because of work but I wanted to say hi since I don't know when I'll get a chance again
