i hope stacy is getting a lot of shopping done and marie a lot of sleeping.

i forgot to tell you guys what i did this morning. i was getting dressed and of course tommy comes in (you never get any time to yourself). anyway he is telling me some story and i put my pants on while i am listening to him and try to zip them and i think the zipper is broke, then i finally look down and realize they are completly inside-out. i am seriously sleep deprived.

i have been trying to keep everyone's foster/adoption journey's straight, so i am going to start a little chart on a new reply if i don't have someone's, just pm and i will edit my post and add it. i am just getting too confused.

glad you got a laugh. I swear, J's family does everything the most difficult way possible! Our families are so different but I try to "roll with the punches." You should have heard them yesterday trying to figure out what to do with the big box we had to bring back with us. J was calling QuickPack, D was on the phone with their brother (R) and D's husband (P) was putting a ton of tape all over the box!

I just sat there trying to read the paper and stay out of the whole mess!!! *L*

Thumbs up

What a wonderful day we had today. It is hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of school. I do get a two week holiday but will only be away for about a week. I am quite sure I will have at least 10 pages of post to read when I return.

I am sitting here trying to remember what I was going to type but I am too full to remember...lol...blame it on the cookies, pumpkin pies, chocolate, and numerous goodies I had today. My brain is filled with food...lol

Mckenna, I am doing a domestic adoption.

Cathy: I am glad you have your son in your loving arms. What a Christmas blessing!

Stacy: I pm you, check it out.

Angela: Thank you for the hello.

Well I am off to start and hopefully finish wrapping gifts. Take care all, will check in later or tomorrow. I have my last volleyball game tonight so I will be out for a while.

Again ..there was lots to read. Spent the day with my daughter shopping (remembering that I hate crowds .. you can imagine how I felt by the time I got home). The kids were really good while we were out .. but when we got home, with no naps, they were all crying (whining) at the same time. I was so grateful when 7:00 p.m. came and the older two went to bed. It took me another 30-40 minutes to get Miss Piggy to sleep (plus another half bottle) but I think now she is out for the night.

Angela -- sorry your daughter is sick .. hope the drs visit went well.

McKenna -- I think I am almost more excited than the little ones about Christmas .. I can't wait to see them open their presents (even the ones I haven't yet wrapped)

Darci -- I got your card today. Thanks.

Christine -- Thank you for the e-mail card .. it was very cute .. made me smile.

Michelle -- your little ones are adorable. But I agree James looks full of mischief .. as every boy should. LOL

b -- sounds like you had a pretty full day yesterday .. bet you were almost grateful to be at work and relax. LOL

Right now I am busy trying to print a calendar for Miss Kitty's parents as tomorrow is her last visit until after Christmas and I want her to take it with her. Tried to put pictures of her taken throughout this year one on each page of the calendar (one month per page). Also made up a collage of pictures of her for the cover .. not sure what it will look like .. but hopefully they will like it.

Have a good evening those of you who are still around right now. For those of you reading this in the morning .. hope you have a great day. I hope to finish wrapping presents tomorrow ..a lot have been done already .. but as usual I have bought more.

Hugs to all

Marie

Oh, I am still recovering from last night! Once a year I keep all my daycare kids until 8 to give their parents a night off, and we have our Christmas party. Here I was thinking, this isn't too bad this year...Oh, why do I set myself up like that! Anyway, after a little stall getting the frozen pizzas cooked when I turned off the oven instead of the timer after the first 2 cooked, I thought I handled things great by singing Christmas carols, we opened presents and then it went nuts! James was cranky, so the oldest girl I watch was trying to help with him, he was having a ball, but ended up bonking heads with a 3 year old. I took him and when he stopped burying his head in my shoulder, I noticed we were both covered in blood! He had his first bloody nose, and trying to apply pressure to a 1 year old's nose is quite a job! Anyway, it was an old T-shirt, and the nose finally stopped, so all was well again. I tell you, he has already given himself a black eye somehow by hitting his head on the crib. Boys, what can I say, I think I am in a whole new world with this one! Well, the TV came on after that, and they all settled in to watch Christmas specials. And the best news of all, I am done until next year!!! Well, I have to run, I think my little bruiser is waking up!

Good morning everyone! Today is our little office holiday lunch with the exchange of secret Santa presents. I really don't want to be here today since a couple of the people in the office have been less than nice to me lately. I won't be in the office at all next week and that makes me very happy! My friend Sarah and I are trying to plan a "Lazy Movie Day" one day next week. We did it last year so we're hoping to make it an annual event. It's one day where we can pretend we're 12 and lay around on the floor and pig out while we watch some chick flicks. Last year we watched one of my all time favorite movies - French Kiss since Sarah had never seen it. It's definitely one of those I can recite.

I still have a few gifts I need to buy for J and I'd better hurry if I want to beat the mad last-minute rush.

Thanks so much for the Cathy update, Jess!

I'll be back a little later!

Ho Ho Ho!!!

Good Morning everyone, I'm going to be crazy busy today so I won't be around much. Shopping was good, I'm all done now!!! Ya Ya Ya

I haven't really read all the posts so I'll have to do that later. Oh But Mckenna I'm only adopting, not fostering. No biggy, you don't have to change your post , just thought I'd let you know.

And I'm glad to hear all about Cathy and that everything's going great!

Oh ya and Mckenna, Nick (Cathy's Hubby) wa the one that went to Kenny Rodgers and I said I would love to go to him.

ok canadians, now i have a question about how your system works. when you adopt a waiting child, don't you technically have to foster the child for a certain amount of time before the adoption is final. her in mo the children need to be in their adoptive placement for the minimum of 6 months before the adoption can be finalized. technically you are the foster parent before the adoption takes place. how does your government system work?

Good morning all! Well I survived my long, long day of work yesterday - I left the house by 9am and drove and drove and drove and did four different farm inspections a few hours from here and I finally got home by 7pm...ugh!!! But, I can hardly complain - I have to do something like that a couple of times a year!...and you see how not-hard I work the rest of the time!!!

Ok so on my way home last night I call home and hubby says "we just got a picture of the cutest little kids I have ever seen and I have no idea who they are!" I laughed and said...hmm...who would they be? And hubby said "they are two sweet little african american kids and they are so cute I want to eat them" Then I really cracked up, and I said does the card say "McKenna" except I used your real name and he said "yes!!" So, I laughed again and reminded him of which one of my forum friends you are...my word - when I got home I saw why he made such a fuss - they are ADORABLE!!! and I finally hear what Lily's name is - I love it! Thanks SO much for sending that - I LOVE pictures!!!

And Michelle - I am SO glad you posted your kids - my word - cuties! James is non-stop adorable.

my goodness you people are making me want to go out and get myself a little African american toddler! Maybe next time....??? Could they BE any cuter? James and Tommy - man, I wonder what mayhem they would cause if they got together to play! They do both look like "all boy" boys don't they?

Ok I guess that's all for my oogling over your children! Should be a mellow day today...and today is hubby's last day of teaching until January 5!!! YEAH! I am so happy! We are going to have to watch the final Lord of the Rings movie this weekend!!!

Oh and thanks for the nice comments about Kaden's room and Erin your Peter Rabbit plan sounds very cute. And B I think your kitchen sounds awesome!

Ciao!

thanks jess, and yes i think we would all be in trouble if james and tommy got together. tommy has friends who are 6 days younger than him (they are twins). they were adopted as well. the boys play so well together, but they are definatly rough and tumble. tommy is about twice thier size, so the first time they were wrestling together and tommy got on top of them, they were just stuck underneath him. but when they got on top of him he was easily able to flip them off.

glad you got your long day of work over with. thanks again for the cathy updates.
