good morning all!

let's hope no news is good news.

everyone's bed rooms sound so cute. i really need to get on the ball and at least get tommy's room done.

those of you who consistantly work outside of the home, is anyone off next week. i have to work two days but i am off the rest. the kids are still going to school a 1/2 day on the day after christmas because that is when i get some shopping done for the next year. i always get teacher gifts and a couple of other things then.

christmas is one week from today!!! can you believe it?? time sure does fly. last year at this time i had one foster child (and had just learned his bmom was signing over her rights) and i had just changed his name. now i have one son and a foster daughter. i know that this time next year there will be many new parents her too.

Angela, so if I came for a visit, I could be some kind of celebrity, huh? I thought you were going to say that you were related to him too and that we were distant cousins! Oh well! I'm glad to hear there is some good news with your loved ones, I hope you keep hearing more as time goes on.

So we are all waiting to hear news about Cathy, I hope all is going great, there is probably just so much to do! Considering how much they sleep, those little guys sure do keep you busy!

I'm glad everyone liked my rooms! I never would have been able to pull off either of those progects once my little prince arrived! It sure is funny how things change! Barbara, that is funny about having barely anything on the walls, James' room was rather bare at first, but thank goodness my mom loves to cross stitch! She made him these great wall hangings! Jess, I love Anne Geddes, I had some in Ashlee's room (back when it was pink!) but I couldn't find any I really liked for James', all the boy ones I saw only had white babies (OK, I only looked at Fred Meyers!)

OK, I tried this once before, and it wouldn't work, but I will attempt once more to post a picture of my little ones. Here goes!

good morning girlies!!!

you know i was just reading over the posts again.....i read them so quickly last night and i was tired i thought i may have missed something......lol.... anyway someone said i sound swamped and very busy.....lol.....then i reread what i had written.....and actually it sounded like a pretty normal day....except for the people in the hospital...... i always take my kiddos to school.... they would have to get on the bus at 7:50 and we literally live 3 minutes from the school so that means almost an hour ride in the morning.....ugh!...... it's also alot easier for me..... (i can sleep in a bit)....

i can hardly wait to see pics of baby sean!! Ü

fourth time may be the charm on my bedroom paint color..... the last one was minty.... hubby said it would be OK if we were 12....lol.....

47 more hours and hubby will be home from work!! yeah!

daughter is home sick today.... they have over 50 kids out in her school alone!! which may not seem like alot but we're only talking about 2nd and 3rd grade and a total of 280 some kids..... so i get to go to the dr at 11:30 with her.......

any good ideas on gifts for 15 preschoolers.....they suggested stickers or pencils or something......but nothing to whippy has hit me yet......of course i need them for tomorrow.....lol... i work best under pressure......lol

oldest signed me up for mini cheesecakes for his party tomorrow.....lol..... he cracks me up......

jess.....have a super day at work!

erin.....have fun wrapping all of your presents!!

marie...... i hope you get a nice nap in today!!

mckenna...... time sure does fly..... don't forget to take tons of pics!!

and to everyone else have a super duper day!!!

hello, hello, hello!!

I am going to busy wrapping, wrapping, wrapping today!!

Sounds like all of you are quite creative when it comes to your kids' rooms- right now the room we are planning to use as a nursery is just pale yellow -more buttery than anything. I'm planning to go with more of a Peter Rabbit theme but not over the top with it-just a few accents. I have already picked most of the pieces I want -I just need to add some pictures that will work.

My dog is driving me crazy. She keeps trying to chew on my foot while I am typing!!!

Michelle- your kiddos are soo cute!

Ang- sorry your daughter is sick! That flu bug has been miserable. My mom & youngest sister are sick right now and my older sister's whole family had it.

well, I'm off to wrap some presents to send!

Hi Everyone! I'm back from our little trip! I know I had complained that it just didn't feel like winter here but after walking around in D.C. I'm thankful for the warmth! BBBRRRR! J kept saying it was snowing and I kept saying that it wasn't (just icy rain) but then, sure enough, little snowflakes started falling! It wasn't cold enough for them to stick to the ground - just melted but it was cool to watch them fall.

As for paint colors, I have a really weird/bright color in my kitchen but I assure you it's very cute.....my kitchen is lime green and periwinkle blue. Most of our house is taupe or blue so I figured either some version of orange or green would be complimentary and J wasn't keen on orange.

The bedroom that we'll be using for our future child is painted a beautiful pale blue - Cassiopeia by Laura Ashley which will work well for a girl or a boy. Most of the furniture in there is white and the quilt on the bed is a pale blue floral print as is the curtain. If we get a boy I'll probably switch it to a blue plaid print. I tried to keep things pretty sparse so we could add according to child/gender later.

I can't wait until we get a Cathy and Sean update!

Michelle- your kids are oh-so-cute!

Erin - I was thinking about the whole Peter Rabbit theme too. I'm torn between that and this really pretty animal/circus toile print I've seen. Maybe I'll just do some sort of animal theme. But definitely no clowns....I HATE clowns.

Angela - I hope your daughter feels better!

Barbara - I think paintings everywhere are great. I'd love to have some oil paintings of roses for my bedroom but I have to admit I'm cheap and just can't spring major $$ for a painting....and painting it myself is not even an option. I just don't have that kind of vision.

Jess - I love Ann Geddes's photographs and always thought they'd be the perfect way to decorate a nursery.

Marie - glad you got some sleep.

McKenna, Darci, Stacy, Cristina, Angela and Judy - good morning!

mckenna - no, not for business. It's a long story but I'll try to give you the highlights. J bought a coat at a store here but needed a different size. None of the stores here had it so she asked her sister (D) to look where she lives (near D.C.). D found it and got it for her. Now, instead of just shipping it to us (like I would have done) J decided that since her other sister (L) (who lives here) had stuff that needed to go up there and D had something else that needed to come here it would just be easier to take D the stuff from L and bring L back the stuff from D (along with the coat). Keeping up? *L* So, in order to avoid and argument between me and J, I took a day off from work and went with her.

Keep in mind that J works for the airline and our tickets are pretty much free (we just pay the taxes).

So, we went to D.C. for the day....went to a couple of museums and then went to D's house for the exchange of stuff. D and her husband took us to the airport and we were on our way back home.

Whew!

Thank you everyone! It's not the best picture of Ashlee, but I love it of James, it funny how you could see his personality in it! He was having a blast getting out of the chair before I could snap the picture, I can't tell you how long it took to get it taken! (thus leading to me being satisfied even if it wasn't the best of Ashlee!)

Angela, Hmm, a gift for preschoolers, I should know that one, but I must say that Ashlee adores stickers, but we have novelty pencils coming out of our ears! Then again, she just went through a phase where her favorite thing in the world was used paper towel or TP rolls, so you just don't know with them! What about Play Dough?

B- I think your kitchen sounds great! My bedroom is periwinkle, I wouldn't be brave enough to put it with lime green, but I bet it looks really great, maybe it's not to late to add some to my bedroom!

Mckenna- I have that CD in too, I love those songs!!!
