Oh, so the health class ended up being lots of fun. the kids had come up with a sheet of questions, but once I started answering a couple of them, they just started raising their hands and asking all kinds of things...it was really fun - they asked questions the entire period long - I never had a chance to get nervous or bored! It was so great. One girl told me she already knows she can't have kids, so she wants to adopt - that was pretty neat...I felt bad for her, I think she has had a pretty rough life, but hopefully we gave her some hope! Anyway, it was great and I think anyone there would see adoption, especially domestic open adoption like I described, in a positive way. yeah!

How is everyone this morning? I am going shopping with my mom today and doing lunch....

Got most of my laundry done. Thank God but it never stops..With the 2 chipmunks down stairs, I haven't been wanting to go down there. Like Jess, we want to remodel our whole basement. The problem is our basement is huge. I really didn't want to do anything until Spring because of this adoption. We do need to do the area where the chipmunks are coming in!! It's in my laundry room..You should see me doing laundry and looking around to make sure I don't see anything..hehe!!!

Marie..Sorry you and the kids are sick. I hope you all will be feeling better..About FL..We have reservations for a Condo (Ocean Front Balcony) for Dec 13-20..They will be very flexiable with us because the Director of the agency knows the lady that owns them.. So we will go down there once the 48 hour period ends, and the baby is released in the agencies care (If H doesn't decide to parent. Then they will bring the baby to our condo.. I still can't believe all this is happening..

Erin..That would be so wild to see that lady at your Hubby's work..Maybe if she isn't doing that well with parenting and she would decide adoption, then maybe she will choose you guys. I know that happens sometimes. The moms take the baby home and then know they can't parent? You just never know..I checked out your profile and it's nice..Now we know what you look like!! Hope you hear something soon on a baby or the sibiling group..

Erin - that was great - thanks for sharing - the pics were so nice and the letter was great...very informative. You two sound so nice. We have some friends going through Bethany...what do you think of them? I hope you find a match soon - you look like you'll be great parents. I didn't know you led your youth group - that is really cool. My hubby has often talked about getting involved with youth at church, because since he is a high school teacher, it seems a natural outlet for ministry, but so far he has just been way too busy being in his first few years of teaching...I want to wait a little while until he is less stressed at work to get a commitment like that. Also, I wouldn't mind a few more years under my belt - maybe then I won't LOOK like I am in high school!!!

Cathy - yikes - yes, I would be patching up that chipmunk hole too!!! I am SOOO excited for our basement to get finished...I just wonder how long it will take...around the holidays it is tough to get anyone to return phone calls!

Today is a much more mellow day for us...no inspections, no classroom talks...and hubby will be home early from a 1/2 day. YEAH!

Darci, Good morning. I hope you post the rest of the pictures up from the adoption, I'd like to see you. You know I was thinking about your daughter's foster mom the otherday and was thinking how pyscho she must be if she wants your daughter to call her mom and she's not even the Bio-mom. I know that kids call some fosterparents mom and dad and there's nothing wrong with that but after they're adopted to still insist on it, ya there's something seriously wrong with her. I hope she's no longer allowed to be a foster parent so no kids or a-parents will ever have to deal with her again.

Ok, I think that's everyone. Last night it was coffee night so that what I did. But before coffee I had to stop at my dad's and when I pulled in the driveway (I had to park behind my dad's truck) I seen this long steel stake hanging out the back of his truck. So I got out of my car and wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and I walked right into it. Now I have a goose egg on my forehead and it hurts. LOL I'm such a nerd. When I came in the house I said, dad, why didn't you take that out of your truck at the shop, I just walked into it. and he said (and I quote) "I knew some dummy was gonna walk into that, I should've taken it out." LOL he's so loving. But at least it made me laugh. Well, that's my night. I'll talk to you all later.

Oh, yes, yesterday I took Kaden to the class with me...it was funny - I think his pants were too tight and I had him sitting up on the table with me and he kept spitting up - it was gross and funny. Yes, he was good for the neighbor - he looked SO tired when he came home because of course he couldn't possibly take a good nap over there - there is way too much new stuff to see and do and she has 2 kids - almost 2 & 5 to play with. But, he was an angel. Now my folks are back in town, so they can watch him again as need be...that is so nice to have!

Hi everyone!!

See now you know what I look like -Cathy was right about how small I am, Stacy was right about the glasses. My hair varies in length from chin length to just above the shoulders and is brown, brown, brown. When I was very young -I had white blonde hair but it darkened over time. I actually don't have much Irish, mostly welsh & scottish -I was named after Erin on the Waltons LOL!!

My husband is begging me to go get some food so I'll write more later!
