I don't have much time to post (what's new)...
Erin -- Natalie is ADORABLE! I can't believe she's already turning 1! Trinity goes in for her hearing test on the 22nd. We have tried EVERYTHING to see if she notices any sound. I even took Stacy's advice with the pots and pans (I know...it wasn't really advice) and we've not seen any reaction. Of course we are still hoping for the best, but my husband and I fully expect the worst. We pulled Rachel out of school. There had been so many problems with her teacher and stuff. One kid told Rachel that he was going to kill her and the teacher didn't do anything about it. But, really, the last straw was when another boy decided to cut Rachel with his scissors (SHARP scissors). Teacher did nothing, principal did nothing, executive director of education did nothing. So, Rachel's not going to school anymore. We are moving to Rhode Island in March. Ok. That's our update. I will post again after Trinity's hearing test if I don't get a chance to post again sooner. I sure do hope Trinity's tests on the 22nd yield positive results......I can't believe the school did nothing about the scissors incident. That is totally bizarre.I would go to the higher level.Contact the School Board/superintendent......It is a good thing that you have pulled her out of that school!! Will you homeschool now? Hello to everyone else!!Have a great Thursday. My book signing is tonight.I REFUSE TO BE NERVOUS>>>>>>Send positive thoughts my way please!!!.....

Hi everyone,
I'm in SF now! I'm tired but we're having lots of fun, just laughing and catching up for tonight. Erin, Natalie is so adorable, I really can't believe it's been a year already, that's crazy. Stacie, good luck at the book signing, I know you'll do great. Darci, I can't believe all that has happened to Rachel, that's crazy, I would've pulled her out too. Are you going to try putting her back in school when you move? I am hoping the best for Trinity when she gets her hearing test. Anyway, gotta run, I'll try check in, in a couple of days. Have a great weekend everyone. Stacy

Hello.
I just wanted to ask you all to keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers. Her lung collapsed on Wed night (it happened last year too) and it still hasn't healed up. They are doing surgery today (2 pm pacific time) to remove part of her lung. We are very close and I am very scared for her. Also, a short update on Trinity. We're anxiously waiting for her hearing test but in the mean time she has been diagnosed with plagiocephaly and torticollis. We should know this week if she will need surgery for the plagiocephaly (which I believe is called something different if surgery is needed). If it's not one thing it's another. One more thing...my dad has surgery tomorrow to remove clots from the artery in his leg. He's allergic to the dye they have to use during the surgery so there's a huge risk of complications. Please keep him in your thoughts as well. Well, now that I'm done begging for prayers I'm gonna go make some phone calls. One bit of good news first...Rachel learned to read this weekend. YAY!!! Homeschooling her for the time being is making a huge difference! Darci |

I'll be praying for your family too Darci. Hope to hear soon that everything went as well as anyone could have hoped...
Sorry to hear Trinity is having head/neck problems...we have another friend dealing with that same thing right now...it sounds fixable, but still, I am sure it is hard having one more thing to worry about! I hope she won't have need for surgery! Congrats on doing so well with Rachel. I hope homeschooling works out really well. Stacy - I hope you are having a great time in SF...can't wait to hear all about your trip. Hope it's wonderful. Talk to you all soon, Jess |

Quick update --
My sister's surgery went well. With any luck she could be out of the hospital late this afternoon. Trinity's doctor doesn't think she will need surgery on her head or a helmet (YAY!)...we're basically in wait and see mode. That's all for now. I have a doctors appt. to get to. Darci |

GREAT news Darci! I have been thinking about you all and praying for your family...so glad to hear things are looking good all around.
I have a dr appt today as well and then Jason and I decided we would go to an informational meeting about foster care. We don't really know if/when we could do it, but we want to know more...there is a SERIOUS need here for it and they have been talking about it at church a ton lately...SO many kids have been taken out of homes this year because of meth use. Poor little things. |

Well, the first snow of the year is here. The wind is really blasting again so the wind chills are sitting in the teens.
Darci - I hope all goes well with Trinity. M has assymetrical plagio and the neurologist confirmed that there was not any neuro damage or problems from it. He indicated that a molded helmet was an option, but after researching it, I elect not to pursue that as an option. There was not sufficient evidence to show that molding/binding was going to be effective. Sam

Happy Birthday Natalie
Hi Everyone, Erin, I loved the pictures of Natalie, thanks. Well the weekend was good, I went to an adoption conference on Saturday. The presenter was Brenda McCreight (sp?). Anyway, she was wonderful. I really enjoyed myself. Yesterday was beautiful so we took the kids outside for about 2 hours and then came in for lunch and nap time. The rest of the day was just spent hanging out and thinking about all the things I have to do before next weekend. Next weekend I am putting a float in the christmas parade for adoption awareness, then Saturday is my company christmas party and then on sunday my sister and I are having Nicolas' and Maizie's birthday party together. It's going to be crazy busy. Anyway, I've gotta run for now, I'll stop back later. Stacy
