Smile Jess!!!

First..SAHM is stay at home mom!!! I knew people would think I was crazy for liking Kid Rock!!! But I do really like him. If you take out some of the words he uses!!

The agency we are using has a set fee. Some birthmoms need more support than others. The first expectant mom that was looking at us didn't need anything. H is the second expectant mom to look at us. I don't have alot of details yet on the amount of support she will need. She is on Medicail but it only pays for some of her things. I have to wait until she fills out a Financial Sheet for the agency and see what her needs are. We may not even be chosen and may not even have to worry about it..We will just have to wait and see..

Just put Lexi down for a nap..I need to take a shower..

Be back,

Cathy

You are all such positive people and so fun .. and of course supportive .. I'm so glad I found this forum.

McKenna .. thanks for the web address had a quick look while little ones were napping .. now I'm wondering if there is something similar here in Canada.

Cathy .. am I reading this right .. are you feeling a little uncertain about H. even before a decision is made?

Stacy .. I would love to learn how to do scrapbooking properly .. the best I can do is put photos into an album with funny captions that help me recall the moments.

My little ones are trying to help me type as they climb to reach the computer ... amazing how agile and quick 1 year olds are. LOL

Take care all. HUGS

Question Marie..

I'm not really sure. I just want to make sure this will be right. I have put it in God's hand and will just have to wait and see what happens. I would love to have this child. It's a boy and he will be Bi-Racial. My daughter is Multi-Racial..I think it's just the money issue. My daughter's adoption was pretty high, so I thought we could make it cheaper..Just have to wait!!! She may not even choose us..Should know something soon..

Hi All,

Cathy, I'm 25 so I don't know if I'm younger or not. It's funny that you noticed I was younger by the type of music I like. But if you saw my music collection at home, you wouldn't be able to guess my age, I listen to 70's, 80', 90's and 2000s rock and I listen to country from the 40's up to now. I love music and I think it's timeless, something that's truly timeless. I take guitar lessons but I think my fingers and brain have trouble communicating cause it's taking a while to learn. LOL

P.S. I'm thinking of you and I hope everything works out for the best. That little baby boy would be blessed to join your family!

Jess, Marie and I are probably about 15 hours apart. It goes BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and then Manitoba. And then all the rest. LOL I wish she was closer!

oh and by the way, I didn't know we could rate our posts but if we are then I'll give you a ten for sure!!! LOL

Marie, Scrapbooking's easy but it takes a long time. I know you could do it, I've seen your website!

McKenna, Hi There, I'm glad you're joining in.

Have a great afternoon everyone!

Stacy

Ok Marie - everyone keeps talking about this great website of yours - do share - what is the address? (Or did I miss it somewhere?) I'd love to see! Stacy, I knew Alberta was the next one east, but I didn't know where Manitoba was, so thank you! Saskatchewan - our pastor is from Saskatchewan. and then on the other side of Manitoba is there Ontario or is that a long ways away? My husband's sister spent a semester in Ontario working for the political newspaper for an internship last year. Anyway, I go to a Christian Missionary Alliance church, and I guess there are a lot of them in Canada, so a number of the pastors at our church are Canadian...that is your interesting factoid of the day!

Stacy, forgive me if we have totally discussed this - I knew you were young, but I didn't know we were the exact same age! That is SO cool! Oh wait - I just looked at your profile - you are 5 months older than me!

McKenna - what is this website you sent Marie? Anything the rest of us would be interested in? I couldn't tell - just ignore the request if it doesn't pertain to me! I tend to be nosy! LOL.

Ok - that's all - SERIOUSLY - I have to get some work done today!

Oh Stacy, just when I think I can get back to work, you ask more questions!!! You know I am a sucker for anything like that! (By the way - just what IS your dad paying you for over there...LOL ...does he know you come to work to hang out on the forums!!! HA! )

Here goes:
1. What do you do for fun?
I read a lot, like renting movies w/my DH, spending time with family, games, scrapbook, hanging out with our two dogs (we have a Vizsla and a Weimeraner - who has heard of both of these before?? )

2. What's your age? 25

3. How many siblings do you have?
One older brother - he is a missionary in Mongolia with his wife and two sons (ages 31/2 & 7 months) - they just got there in August and are in language study now.

4. What's your favorite food?
Ribs are great, but I have to go with turkey & mashed potatoes

5. what's your middle name?
Dawn - similar to you Stacy! What else do we have in common? So explain this double middle name Stacy - what's the scoop? Parents couldn't pick just one or what? LOL

6. What's your favorite Holiday?
Christmas is the best!!!

7. Say one good thing about adoption
Today it is rainy outside and yucky and I have a little fleecy snuggly boy that lets me give him all the hugs I want...I think I am in heaven.

Also, we are totally blessed to have his birthmother - I don't think we could have gotten a better person or a better fit for us.

And yes - these forums rock!!!

Jess,

I do get some work done! Ha Ha Ha

We do have a lot in common. same (1) middle name and same age, who would've guessed it! You've never heard of having two middle names??? That's so funny, most people in my family have two middle names. One biblical (mary or joesph) and then one from your parents. If you think that's funny get this, my family is catholic and when my dad and all his siblings (12 all together) were born and were brought into this world by nuns and the nuns filled out the birth certificates. All of my dad's brothers and him go by their middle names because their first names are all Joesph and all the girls are Mary and also go by their middle names. My dad's name is Joesph Maurice Raymond and he goes by Maurice.

By the way, I have to say about your brother and what he's doing: How Cool is that!!!

Stacy

yes, I have heard of two middle names, but I didn't think it was all that common - especially in people our age and older - I thought it was sort of a newer thing...anyway, as soon as you said "Dawn Mary" I assumed your family was Catholic and that was the exact reason for the double name - am I good or what? So are you Catholic? Is Stacey? Just curious. I hadn't ever heard of everyone being a Mary or a Joseph - how funny!!! My whole family is protestant, and in fact in all the cousins, aunts, uncles, etc there aren't ANY Marys or Josephs - go figure!

Well, Stacey and I aren't really anything right now. We both believe in God and we pray and I do believe in religion we just don't know if it's the Catholic Religion. We decided to get married in the United Church because we didn't want to have to promise to raise our kids in the Catholic Religion because we don't know if we want to be part of that particular church.

I guess what I'm saying is that there are a lot of different religons and I believe things from each church but I haven't found the one that I want to put all my faith into cause there's things that I disagree with too. I believe that as long as you are a good person and you pray and listen to God then it's okay to not belong to any particular religion.

I hope I don't offend anyone here, I have no problems with anyones religion, it's totally your own choice and I like people for who they are, not what religion they are so I hope I didn't make anyone upset.

Hi everyone,

What are you all up to today? I'm taking Lexi shopping at the mall today to shop. I need to get her some more clothes for winter time. Her little cousin's birthday is this weekend and we need to great some gifts for her. This will be Lexi's second birthday party and she will turn 13 months tomorrow.. I can't believe how fast they grow...

Just wanted to wish everyone a nice day and I will check in later..

Cathy

Marie...Your family is in my prayers today..Take care with all the little ones!!
