Yeah for you Darci! Congrats!!! I tried to get Kaden's SSN before I had his BC and they sent it back saying insufficient proof of age, so I sent it back and told them I was sending the hospital record AND the adoption papers, and that my attorney said that was all they needed, and I just got his SSN in the mail today! yeah! I got his BC in the mail 1-2 weeks ago from the attorney. And he is almost 7 months old!!! SHEESH! Anyway, it is really nice to have it all done now...so good luck with your last bits of paperwork!
It is a little quiet around here today without B and Marie. McKenna - I am pretty happy about the 3 day week myself! I get to be with hubby for 4 1/2 days straight - yahoo! They get out 1/2 day on Wednesday even! ![]() Well, I have to go to work for a bit - have to bind up the calendar for my bro and get it to the PO today. Check back later.Jess |

Good morning all,
I hate when I'm gone for half the day and have to catch up on all the posts.. Stacey..Sounds like you had a great weekend. When Hubby and I dated we watched Hockey all the time..And when Grant Furh played for the St Louis Blues, he was my favorite..I still have a jersey with his name on it.. Mckenna..I hope the Xmas thing with Lily's birthparents work out..I wonder if you will be able to adopted her someday? Her parents sound so unstable and a dog??? Just what they need, huh? Jess..Have fun with getting your basement done. We have a basement that is partial done but will be doing that probably next year.. Darci..Congrats on your adoption..We just had a notarized (sp)? copy of Lexi's BC and we went directly to the SS Office and had it in 1-2 weeks.. B and Marie...Missed you yesterday!! Erin..Still can't wait to hear about the sibling group!! Well, I still don't have an cavities.. I have been so lucky but I do brush my teeth alot..Not too much going on here. Just some laundry and will vacuume later..Probably will go to Target later..Maybe even tan.. I will check in later.. Cathy

good morning.
you guys are never going to believe my mom. on friday night, my dad called and invited us to a rams party at their house on friday, and i said we could not go. then he said my aunt (not the one involved in the argument) was having thanksgiving at 300. i said ok cuz i already had make-up on to go out and did not want to get into anything with him. so, last night, i called to tell my mom that we would not be there (since my sister said she actually thought we would). she said ok, bye. and we hung up. the woman never ceases to amaze me. i thought for sure that i was more important than her stupid pride. i can't wait to hear what version of her truth she uses to explain why i am not there. well, thank goodness for my friend and her family. tommy will have a great thanksgiving there. there are like 5 or 6 kids right around his age. they will have a blast playing. by the way HAPPY ONE MONTH TIL CHRISTMAS! Wow McKenna - what an awful story! I feel so sorry for your situation with your mom...yikes! Sounds like she has a major attitude problem. What a bummer. Well, atleast you have good plans for Thanksgiving. Maybe you should just talk to your dad and leave your mom out of it - sounds like that could work better.???
Well, morning everyone. It is POURING down rain here today...ugly as sin. And I have to go out this morning and inspect a huge dairy facility - ugh! My parents are gone, so Kaden is staying with the neighbors while I go. That is a little wierd since I have never left him like that before, but it'll be great. I am anxious to be done with it and out of the cold rainy muck! So, I won't be around here much today. After my inspection I will get Kaden back and go out to hubby's school to talk in one of the teacher's health classes about adoption. That should be fun. So, if you don't hear from me, that is where I am! Have a great day! |

Mckenna..So sorry to hear about her mom hanging up on you..It seems to never stop, does it? I finally had to put my foot down with my mom in the Spring of this year and told her that things were just not going to continue the way they were going. She must of knew that I meant business..Things have been doing great..But I'm glad that you and Tommy will have a great time at your friends house..
Hugs, Cathy ![]()

Good Morning Everyone,
Cathy, I hear you guys talking about Target all the time but we don't have them here so I'm really curious. Is it like Walmart? Cause that's my favorite store. How's the weather there? It's only -8 here now so it's warmed up so much. Mckenna, I'm sorry you are still having problems with your mom. It makes me sad for you that it's come to not going to family functions. I truly am sorry cause I know what it's like to have very overbearing people in a family. My sister (oldest) always has to be in control and is always doing mean and ignorant things. For a long time I was really mad at my whole family for not sticking up for me and they just kept saying it wouldn't help. I was really hurt and then decided that if Sonya was going to be someplace then I would make sure I wasn't and if she came someplace I was I'd leave. After a while I thought, I'm just cheating myself and missing out. So now I go weather or not she'll be there and I talk to her but we don't fight because if she starts in on me or someone else I just look at her and say "I'm not going to argue with you and I don't want to have this conversation" and then I walk away. It's been great, we can talk and not fight and we both enjoy family functions. She still says and does things that are mean and rude but I choose not to play into them. Anyway, I know it's really hard to put up with someone like that so I feel for you. Good Morning everyone else. Didn't do anything but babysitt last night and Maizie was sick so she just wanted to sit on my lap in the rocking chair. I didn't get home until midnight so I'm really tired. I can't wait til I go swimming cause that'll wake me up! Stacy

Gosh - poor all of you and your bad vibes with family members - what awful situations! I am glad Cathy and Stacy that yours are somewhat resolved. Stacy, it definitely sounds like you took the high road and made the right choices...you were right - that was only cheating you.
Yes, Target is an upscale Walmart. I actually like Walmart better - it is cheaper. Target is fun, but I don't think it is all that cheap. So, don't worry Stacy, you aren't totally missing out! ![]() Well, I guess I better be off to the dairy. ugh. This is one of the rainiest days I have ever had to go out and inspect something...and a dairy of all things...I bet I get manure all over my jeans - wouldn't that be fun?! Oh by the way, I hardly even drink milk because of my work in appraising dairies, it is the yuckiest thing ever...but I don't tell them that! ![]() Alright - I may check in after my inspection and before I go to school, but don't know. Adios until later. |

Jess, I feel so bad, we posted at the same time and I didn't see your post until just now. A talk in school sounds interesting, I bet the kids will have lots of questions. Maybe there are some adopted kids in class and they will feel special, that'd be cool. Rainy weather in November? wow, our weather is so different, Stacey was sledding the other day, we have lots of snow already. Anyway, it sounds like you have a very busy day today so have fun and hope to see you back soon. We'll miss you if you're gone too long. LOL
Mckenna, I go swimming every week day at 11:30 or 12:00 for half an hour. It's not a class just fitness swimming and I do laps. I also do about 60 sit-ups in the pool. I put my legs up on the side and then go under the water and come up. I find swimming very refreshing. Stacy
