Hey everyone,

B, hope the house buying goes well for you! As much as you don't want it to be an issue, you are so right about school locations! Even in our small town, there are better schools than others, purely out of location. Can't wait to hear the good news that you guys are moving.

Liz, good luck at the birthmothers celebration. Hopefully it all goes well and you meet the future birthmom of your child!!!

Jess and Gina, good to hear from you two. Glad to hear things are going well. Jess, chears to you girl!!!

Barb, if you still lurk, thanks for the pictures of your sweet children! They are awsome pictures. I love the one of you and your little man!

Mckenna, hopefully Ava feels better soon. It is so wierd how some kids react with a fever and others don't even get bothered by the shots. Jaxon's are in a couple of weeks already and last time he wasn't doing so well for a few days so I hope this time is better.

Stacy, I think you are wise about putting the potty training on hold for a little bit. I would have the potty out and if he wants to sit on it, fine but I wouldn't push it at this time as he is probably still adjusting to the new changes. Soon he will be good and ready!!!

Well, better run, I have a friend coming over for a little visit.

Take care,
Tara

I'm about to head home. I just got off the phone w/ our cw. We were going to do respite this weekend for an 8 month old baby girl but the fparents decided not to. Oh well, it would have been good practice for us.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

just wanted to post a quick public service announcement for those of you with older kids

my sister's 3 y./o nephew died on sat night. he choked on a hot dog. please remember to cut hot dogs into tiny, not round size pieces. i never let tommy have a hot dog til he was 3 and now he (or did) eats them on a bun, but no more. it is just such a sad situation. please keep their family in your thoughts.

Mckenna. That breaks my heart about your sister's 3 year old nephew.I cannot imagine the family's pain. Was an adult there that tried to revive the boy? That is the most horrible thing I have ever heard!
I have always cut hot dogs up for the kids, too.I usually cut Chelsea's in half.People think Im nuts, but I bet they wont now!!!
My prayers are with your family!

his mom had left the room to go to the bathroom and when she returned he was choking she tired the hymlic (sp) and cpr and called 911, but he died at the hospital. it is very said, i really can't think about it, too much, cuz it just scares me to much to think of one of my children dying. it is really too much to comprehend.

Mckenna-
Prayers going out to your family and your sister's family. How scary and awful. Kids choking on food is one of my biggest fears!

Hope the birthday party goes well! Wow, 4 already!

We had a calm weekend and today Natalie and I are just hanging out at home. Not much else is happening Kind of nice for once- April was so, so busy!

I'll check back later!

Oh McKenna...what a horror story! I have always cut hot dogs down the middle and then cut them into pieces...but I haven't even been giving them to Kaden really lately. Oh I just can't even imagine...what a total nightmare. That poor family.

Well, on a brighter topic, Happy Birthday to Tommy!!! Yes, Kaden's big 2nd was yesterday...we had a party with about 30 people (including kids) yesterday afternoon...it was great fun. He got a bunch of great new toys It was a Thomas the Tank Engine theme. We had a bunch of snack foods and my mom made a delicious chocolate cake with homemade vanilla icecream. Yum! It was great, but now we are exhausted...poor Jason had to go to work today. I don't know how I am going to be with it enough to get work done...but I need to try! We did a ton of yardwork this weekend...Jason edged and mowed and we spread barkdust in all the flower beds. It looks great, but it was a lot of work (he did most of it of course, since I was busy cleaning inside and preparing food for the party!) I want to live on the couch today!

Well, have a great week everybody!

Oh Mckenna, I'm so sorry, that's just horrible. Your family and your sisters family are in my prayers.

Ya on all the birthdays. I bet they were fun. I know that Asher's birthday was crazy busy. It was more work then fun but I think all the guests had fun. Not to sure about Asher though since he was sick that day.

Well, I'm having a crazy busy week. I have a booth in our local trade fair this weekend for FACT. I am trying to get some more foster information today so that I don't look like an idiot when people ask me a question but the worker won't call me back. Argh!

McKenna- My prayers are with your sisters nephews family. What a horrific accisent.

Just wanted to jump on and give a hello to everyone. I have been very busy the last couple of days.

We had a nice weekend but it was to short!

Has anyone ever heard of an "adoption bank" ? Or where you have an account that friends and family can donate into as a not for profit status and can use the money as a tax deduction? to pay for your adoption. Its like so you get it paid for and they get a write off? Just wondering.

see ya later

ok I am borrowing a friends computer for a bit this morning .. but the girls are not cooperating so think we will be headed home soon. LOL
Happy Birthday to Tommy and Kaden. Glad to hear parties went well for both.

McKenna my heart goes out to your sister and her nephew's family. They must be devastated .. I know I would be. Will be saying lots of little prayers for them over the next few days.

b -- any news on the new house .. was your offer accepted? Have you started packing?

Jess -- nice to see you back posting .. although I have to say haven't been around much .. my girls are just too active these days and too quick to find things they shouldn't. LOL

Like right now when they are climbing all over my friends furniture .. better go before they fall and get hurt.

Oh .. welcome to Teagan's Mom .. nice to see a new face (so to speak) around here .. not that old ones are so bad. LOL

Sorry can't say messages to everybody .. really have to go. Hate not having a computer of my own right now. AARRGGG.

Hugs to all
Marie

Good Morning Ladies,

Mckenna, I'm still thinking about your sisters family. I feel so bad for them.

Nothing really new to report. I am really busy getting ready for the Trade Fair this weekend. I have to print out pamphlets, fold them, cut entry forms, cut string for the balloons and on and on and on. I am also trying to get donations. Yesterday we got a donation for the hellium for the balloons which would have cost use $215, so that was nice. Now I'm trying to get Walmart or Canadian Tire to donate little packages of wildflower seeds cause our theme is "Plant a Seed, Grow a Family". Okay I'll stop talking now, I know you guys probably don't care about the trade fair. LOL

Alrighty I'll stop back later.

Stacy

Hi everyone!

Marie - yes, they've accepted our offer!! We're getting it inspected tomorrow and going to complete the loan paperwork on Thursday. We even have someone ready to rent our current house - we're not selling it.

Stacy - we're interested in whatever is going on in your life. It's not like ya'll cared to read about my office klepto but I posted about her anyway. *L* So glad she quit!!

Next Friday is a court date. Not sure what will happen but we're hoping the judge changes T's plan from foster to adoption. I'm trying not to be superstitious that bad things will happen because it's Friday the 13th!!!!

Better get back to pretending to work
