b- that is not how i pictured you at all!! i assumed you had curly hair. i used to have curly hair but in my old age it has turned straigt (not completly straight but pretty straight) isn't that weird.

sorry about the chipmunk that would freak me out. in my old house, some how birds used to get in the basement and i was like a little child screaming!

Stacy, what you said to me was so nice...you always make me feel good about myself - you are the best! I was feeling like a total heel. I figured it was best to laugh at myself. It isn't that I don't think I should have opinions or something, or even that I said anything in that thread that I don't think, it is that I never just opt to keep my mouth shut! I need to get better at that...I don't want to be thought of as someone with such strong feelings that I put people off...I feel like I do too much of that on here...adoption is just such a stinkin' sensitive subject...I don't know how to stay calm about it! I have always needed help in the "live and let live" category. I want to be the type of person who says her peace and comes off caring and empassioned rather not snotty and anal retentive! You know?!!!!!!!! Anyway, so, thanks to Stacy for saying nice things and to Erin for being able to laugh that off with me.

I know what you mean Cathy about B's straight hair - I wish I had it too - I straighten mine almost every day because it's naturally pretty curly...ugh. But living in this wet climate doesn't help much...it can't stay straight in the rain.

Well, I am back from shopping and while I was out it was SNOWING! I can't believe that! It was so cold! It was just turning to rainy puddles on the ground, but in the air, it was snow - that is about as snowy as it gets around here. It's crazy! Yesterday we had a record high of 60 degrees and today it's snowing...go figure!

Cathy, the way you describe your husband - seriously - he sounds like about the funniest person on the planet! And creative too! What a ham - you must be laughing all the time...I am so happy you have such a great DH. The chimpunk story is out of this world though - yikes! Ok, I have a story that is going to make my husband look like a ridiculous hick, but last year, we could hear noises in our attic, and we thought it was that squirrels had gotten in, so what does my DH do? He goes and gets his RIFLE and acts like he is going to SHOOT the little critter!!! As if! What he was thinking, I don't know - like you are going to shoot holes in our house! LMAO! He is such a dork. It was really funny...the squirrel eventually left on it's own - thank goodness...because my hubby is to big a wimp to go up in our attic - there are SPIDERS up there after all! ha ha ha.

Ok, McKenna - I don't think you can go longer than this post! ha! You shouldn't even try to compete - no one can out talk the talker. Can you guys tell I don't get out much?! HA!!!

Erin - that is so cool that you are working toward teaching SS - that is what my hubby does - he is a high school history teacher (he also teaches English Language Learner courses) - so yeah for you - hope you got your paper done!!!!

Alright everyone - I tell you above that I wish I shutup more and then I go and write a novel - you see why this is so difficult a task for me!!!!!!

McK - hope your son remembers to say the right thing! I can't believe that is coming up so soon for you. And a big !YEA! to you to Darci with your daughter's adoption coming RIGHT up.

Oh and McKenna - I hardly think you qualify as "Old age" he he he

WOW you have all been articulate today. And I must be getting slower at reading 'cause it seems to take me longer to finish.

Took my daughter to insurance place this am. But first we had to take her cat to the vet. She just took her there yesterday because she didn't seem to be using one of her legs and her eyes were kind of wonky. today it was two legs that she didn't seem to be moving. Anyways we dropped the cat off .. ran to the insurance place (well drove there anyway). The adjuster said that because no test was done on the other driver for alcohol (because he left the scene in an ambulance and left the hospital before being looked at) she was being held responsible. The adjuster seemed really nice though and did say she would try and fight for 75/25 responsiblity. Not much better but I guess some. Also, they didn't know yet whether her vehicle was being written off as damage was still being estimated. Back to the vets for the cat .. the vet can't find out why cat is the way she is .. took x-ray, etc. Said that if she was not better in a few days it might be more humane to put her to sleep. Grandkids are devestated she is sick this will really throw them for a loop. Oldest granddaughter is trying to figure out a way to building something with wheels the cat can use to get around.

b - glad the class seems to have some nice people in it .. sounds like the more you get to know each other the better the classes become. Anger Management is a biggy .. I had to take that for work but not for fostering.

Cathy .. sorry about Nick's uncle .. and surprisingly I have heard of having the funeral lunch at a country club .. it is often done when the deceased was a member at the club.

McKenna -- sorry about your day from h - double hockey sticks. Mine will be tomorrow as that is when we have to go for M-L's 21/2 year check up .. and we are going in the morning so I will be tired from working tonight.

Darci -- I like the Christmas season but this is just a little too early for me to put up decorations .. but way to go for you!

Erin .. nice to see you continue to post. Sounds like quite an interesting paper.

Stacy .. the article still isn't there .. will have to check tomorrow.

Jess -- sorry you and Kaden are still not feeling so great but maybe an outing will make you both feel a bit better. Just getting out helps sometimes.

Oops gotta cut this short .. baby is crying.

Hugs
Marie

Hey all,

The article still isn't there so I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow. Sorry, I got you all excited and then you couldn't even see it. Hopefully it'll be up tomorrow.

Cathy, do you like Pink? I love her new single - Trouble, it's such a good song.

Stacy

Have a good night everyone!

Stacy, you are so up on things - I haven't heard Pink or Norah Jones' newer music! I will have to get on it. I like both...though I don't like Pink enough to buy her music or anything - I really like Norah. Well, I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow - what a bummer - they need to get on it! he he he...see you then. I keep updating the paper to see if it is new too - oh well.

Paper is done and turned in -on time too!!

mckenna -just curious- did you say you work or worked for an organization that helps families of children with cancer? As a childhood cancer survivor, I am all about advocacy for those kids. Just wondering what organization it was.

marie- how is Justin doing? I didn't have leukemia but I had 18 months of chemo along with radiation so I can understand some of what he is going through. It is a big adjustment to go back to school after having been through that kind of thing. Also I'm guessing since you use this forum you've probably used the internet for info. but if you are interested in any sites, let me know and I'll forward you the groups I know of. Plus, I'm sorry about your daughter's cat -I have a cat and a puppy, it is so sad when that kind of stuff happens to a pet.

Stacy- I'll try and look up your article. I think it is neat that your newspaper is doing a story on adoption. I like a few songs by Pink but I haven't heard her newer one either.

Well, I'm writing this in the computer lab at school and I have to go because another class is coming in!
I'll check back soon

Jess, you have to hear Norah Jones new one, it's so good. I think I told you already but it's called The Grass is Blue. I'm playing it right now and Pink was just playing. The Pink song is great too. I don't know if Norah Jones will be putting that song on her own cd but I know it's on a cd called - Just Because I'm a Woman. A tribute to Dolly Parton. It'd be a good cd, shania twain, melissa ethridge. All good singers. (Well, I don't care for Shania but some people like her) Anyway, Melissa Ethrdige redid I will Always Love you and it's so good, she totally put her own spin on it and she did a great job.

Okay enough now, I could go on forever about music.

Stacy

I like Pink but I really don't like her newest song? I don't know why. Maybe I need to hear it more. I think I have heard it 2-3 times...And I don't really know alot of Nora Jones music..

Talking Stacy..

I think you and hubby are a very nice looking couple..You are just so silly!!! And the article was just great..Wouldn't that be so neat if a girl read that and then decided to contact you to parent her child?? You just never know!!!

Thanks for sharing your story!!!

Hugs,

Cathy

Stacy
The article was so neat! I think it is awesome you were willing to talk about Erin and how hard it was to make that decision. You guys make a great couple. You never know what will bring a lead for a child
