RECEIVED NON-INFO FROM STATE OF GA WHICH CONTAINTED NOTHING BUT BIRTHDAY AND ADOPTION DATE. THIS WAS AN INDEPENDANT ADOPTION AND IT STATED BIRTHMOTHER REFUSED TO GIVE ANY INFORMATION. THEN THEY SAID THEY HAD ORDER MY ORIGINAL BIRTH CERT. AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOT AN ORIGINAL BIRTH CERT. ATTACHED TO MY ADOPTION FILE. WHICH MEANT THAT THERE WAS NO INFORMATION ON ANYTHING. I NEED TO KNOW WHERE YOU WOULD GO NEXT TO FIND OUT ANY INFORMATION. SO FAR ALL I'VE GOTTEN IS NO INFO AVAILABE. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

i can only say that i wish you the best of luck. but i think everyone has an "original" birth cert. i mean that is a required job description for the hospital. any ways i have been told that they can change your birth town during the adoption process. but you may try to petetion the courts to do something. or as a last result call the montel williams show! (lol) i wish you the best of luck

As you have access to a computer... Have you tried reviewing all of the legal notices in the town and or County newspaper you were adopted in?
Also try private attorney(s) your adoptive parents may have used for the adoption but if you are capable always start your search close to home with the papers; childrens courtbecause private or not there IS A PAPER TRAIL OUT THERE!!!!! I have been looking for 2 people for a VERY LONG time but every day is the promise you (WE) may find something new!! Keep the Faith; and Keep Looking..... Good Luck |

Georgia adoption
Hello, I was just doing some searching ( a neverending cycle, I'm beginning to believe) and ran across your post. I too, had the same problem with the state of GA. My non id consisted of the confirmation of my dob and nothing else except the **'s age (16). After many phone conversations, they also offered to do an OBC search on me, AND the ** in question. None can be found for either of us. They said there wasn't even a minor consent form of release that should have been signed by my **'s Mother or legal guardian.
Have you had any more luck? Nicole in GA

As a person that was born in California and adopted in Ga. I can tell you these things.. that might occur
Fact: When I was adopted;A birth certificate was issused from the State of Ga, to Califorina which in turn (as my name was changed) Califronia issued a new Birth certi. in that state changing ONLY the parents names.... then the State of California sent this to the State of Geprgia and they sent My New California B.C. to be foewarded to the new parents.... Now In the records of birth my Birth name does not exist....only the current on.... Now have you gone to the hospital of your birth? Also another avenue you can pursue is hire an attoerny and petition the court in the County that you were adopted in;they keep most records locked and you must have a valid..Illness;etc. 2 get them opened however stranger things have happened.... And yes my dear the search is daunting; with no gaurrenty but if you are determined keep @ it...... and good luck to U... |
