Born in Columbus, GA on May 25, 1966. Mother had fever and there was a couple of days that the adoption was delayed for that reason.

We have contacted the Georgia Adoption Registry and the only information they had was that the Mother was 19 at the time of birth and the father was 21 and a heavy machine operator.

Please help if you have any information.

do you know the name of the hospital, was he given a birth name,

have you told the people that your child has cancer. write to your state senator and see if they will assist you in your search. you do have rights. so do you know the name of the attorney that handled your adoption
that is your right also.. have you petitioned the courts. i would go to the court house in columbus and talk ro the probate judge and tell them you have a medical emergency and you need your medical history immediately.they will listen to you . where are you living now.near columbus ga i hope.
also you can check with the county tax assessor and he should be able to tell you if there are any construction company's in town that were there in 1966 and the name of the ones that are still in business. you can check with them and see who they had working for them,if you tell them about your baby's medical problems they will help you.

CALL OR WRITE THAT HOSPITAL AND ASK FOR YOU BIRTH MEDICAL RECORDS. THEY WILL MOST PROBABLY BLACK OUT THE PARENTS NAME BUT SOMETIMES THEY MAKE MISTAKES AND IF SO THAT IS A PLUS FOR YOU.

I am looking for my birth siblings...I was given up for adoption...I was born on May 25, 1971 at south fulton hosptial in East point Georgia....I know I have a half brother that was 7 at the time of my birth and I also found out that my birthmom had a daughter 4 yrs before me that she also put up through adoption....We we both adopted throught the georgia department of children and family services....If this sounds familar please reply...I know that my half sister was born in 1967

I may or may not have been from Columbus but I was adopted there and in my new home when I was a few weeks old. Is the person you're looking for gifted in music at all? I forgot to tell you that the info. on my birth certificate could have began at the point of adoption. Meaning, I could have been born six weeks prior to my birthdate. I don't know for sure. **NOTE**: In the registry is an error showing Edwards's D.O.B. as 1964. He was actually born in 1962 and Jerry was born in 1964.

Other information.
Child was placed in foster care immediately after birth, adoption was finalized some weeks or months later. Had two older male siblings in foster care as well. Edward was born in 1964 and Jerry was born in 1964. The two boys were in a foster home together, adoptee was in a different home. Believe they were all in the same city/county. Gainesville in Hall county. Only the female child was adopted though. The children were wards of the court because of their mothers mental instability. Little known information given to us on the adoptee. When the child was born the birth mothers parents and her only sister were still alive. They have now all passed away, including the birth mother and they never spoke of the birth and carried the information to the grave. Edward, the oldest male sibling passed away in August 1983.

Well it's been several years since i started my search and you would think that since I have a name that it would be a little easier. Well I'm here to say that it is not. I'm starting to think that maybe my birthmom used her first name and my fathers last name. I have made contact with several "Frieharts" but no one has ever heard of an Anna. Then again, I spoke to only the female Freiharts. If anyone has any suggestions on how to find her/him I would appreciate it. I have sent the same letters every year and still I have heard nothing.

My girlfriend's mother was born in n. ga in late 1966 and was adopted in march of 1967. maybe she is the woman you are looking for? her children look very much like her so i'm sure that by looking at pictures you could tell if your husband and her were related.
