I was born May 25, 1972 in Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. I weighed 8lbs. 1oz. Bmother entered the Florence Crittenton Home. She was 20 at time of my birth. She only finished the 10th grade. She had two older brothers and two younger sisters. She weighed 100 pounds and worked in a restaurant as a cashier. Her mother was 58 and was not employed. Her father was 65 and did warehouse work. I have info on my Bfather too. He was 18 at time of my birth. He liked music and graduated from high school. He had three brothers and two sisters. I was told he came from a "Broken Home". My bmother and bfather dated for several months before he returned home out of state. He knew of my bmothers pregnancy. Do I sound familiar?

NON ID
Hi,
I wanted to know if you could tell me where you applied to get your Non Id? I am also a native of Georgia and need to get one. Like yourself, my adoption search is making progress but this information would be helpful. Let me know soon. I am one year older than you. Thanks in advance and best wishes, Kyle

Kyle,
I went throught the state and county that I was adopted through. They have specific areas to mail in your request. Look up: Non Identifying info for Adoption on your search engine for the state and county you were adopted from...or born in. It should give you an address for you to mail your info you know with a fee and they will send your non-id info back to you within a few weeks. Renee |

Walton Co. Info
As a resident of Walton County, GA., I would recommend you look on the website for the county government
(http://www.waltoncountyga.org/). This should help you get started. Sometimes, because of the small size of the county, you might have to look up the Gwinnett County, GA. gvt site b/c the records are kept together. The Gwtt Co site is: http://www.co.gwinnett.ga.us Hope this helps!!!

Congrats on your non-id info!
I completed a search in MO which is a closed state. 1. I applied and paid (about ten dollars) for a birth cert from both the city where I was born and the State Captial city where the porginal records are held. Why Both? - Different info on each. One had more than the other. it made a big difference. 2. I did have to hire a court investigator (search angel approved by the state) to actually do the locating of my Birthmother. I paid $250 to someone I checked out before hand and it was worth every penny to me. But there ARE limitations. 3. If you hire an investigation outfit on your own, check them put and make sure that it's "No Find - No Fee." You have more contact latitude with this source but it's not for everyone." Good Luck!!! Non-ID
I got my Non-ID from the State of Georgia about five years ago. It is not through the county government. You order it from the State Department of Human Resources. They have an entire division for adoption search and non-id requests.
If you can't find the address for the DHR online, PM me and I'll go look it up for you. It is in my search notes. Good luck! |

Are you asking me?
I guess you're asking me! Well anyway I'll answer. No, there was nothing helpful to my search in my Non-ID.
I also didn't do the State search for various reasons. I ended up hiring a PI. It cost a lot but the search was successful. Even though the Non-ID didn't help my search, it was the first bit of concrete information I ever got and it made me want to know more! What makes me mad, though, is that after I found my birthmother I discovered that there was a LOT of misinformation in the file - some of it downright lies. So if you DO get your Non-ID, especially if you were born 30-40 years ago, take whatever information you get with a grain of salt. GOOD LUCK! |
