How much does step-parent adoption cost?

It depends on if you go with a lawyer or do it on your own. You can get the forms from your local courthouse or online at http://www.flcourts.org and go to the self help section. If you do it yourself, it will only cost about 300.00 approx, all the instructions are on each form individually, and you can speak with someone at the courthouse to answer any questions you have. If you go with a lawyer, the ranges I have been quoted in 2500.00-3500.00, which is outrageous when you can do it yourself for 300-ish. Good luck (Im going thru it too), Jamie
