My daughter's biological father has never been around financially or physically. My exboyfriend, who has been her father since she was one (daughter is now ten) is the only father she has known. Their bond is what a real father should be. Even though we're still not together, he still provides for her financially & emotionally. She has always called him father and he has always been there for her. My daughter's real father is not even on the birth certificate and my daughter wants her Dad to adopt her. I think it is a wonderful idea. How do I accomplish? He hasn't any children of his own and the only thing missing is the legalities. He has been in her life for 9 out of the 10 years she has been on this earth. I couldn't have asked for a better father. Any assistance would be appreciated. Does her real father have any rights?
