Ohio step parent adoption
My husband wants to adopt my 13 yr old daughter. And she wants him to. The biological dad & I were never married. I have soul custody. He does pay child support but has no visitation at all. He hasn't attempted to contact my daughter in any way in over 10 years. My husband is the only dad my daughter has ever known. He has helped raise her since before she was 3. Do we still have to get the biological dad's consent to adopt since he hasn't even attempted to have any contact? I appreciate any info anyone can give.
